Exactly. Everyone knows he's the company's guy so the whole "I'm gonna ruffle feathers backstage" thing is contrived. However, it is believable that he could be speaking for some of the other superstars. That's why you don't say that other shit.
He called Lesnar a bitch and then said something like, "now I'm gonna go back there get chewed out for this but it's okay because I actually respect the this business."
Wanted to see what the "hype" was about. Fine promo. Not great, not bad by any means, but why did they have him say the last part? Call him a bitch, drop the mic, and hit the music. It's not that difficult.
I thought it to re-order the lineup? Like say you send 3,4,5 up again. Next batter is 6 and so on. Seems like that would avoid the sort of confusion you guys are discussing.
The other way just seems dumb and counter-intuitive. Then again, what do I know?
If they really wanted to push him as a monster again, they could have done the dressing up as Sister Abigail thing and played it off fine. That being said, I wouldn't have trusted WWE's writers to make the most of it.
It'd be the most Red Sox thing to do, though; especially considering it would be a response to the Yankees landing a superstar.
Bryce would kill it in Boston, but I just don't see it happening.
Either way, runner on third and no out and he struck out the next two. That was my point.
As for the error, I'm on the fence. I think Mookie's slide allows the triple but if that ball gets by him, it could have been one as well.
And, despite the triple, actually looked good at the start of the 2nd...what followed after wasn't exactly promising. Still managed to strike out the side though.
