Can't comment if it's a rip or not as I haven't seen the other one, but graphically this is pretty nice. NOt sure about the exposure. I would have softly erased it out from the top, so that it sort of fades as it goes higher and added a bit more on the render to really bring him out.

Focal is too small and gets lost in all the black around them and the text needs to be better. Come on man, go back to basics, you're better than this.

did you use the pen tool to make the 11? That looks really good. I would just add a bit more flare to it with some light stocks around the player and change up the text underneath him. Pretty solid though. Nice work.

Stock work in general needs a bit of work as well dude. But there is potential there, you just need to refine your <Censored> a bit. Look at some PSDs or tuts man.
