He's at an all-time pace right now. He's doing things and putting up numbers that only HOFers have put up and he is still only 21. If he can at least have a Tim Duncan type career then he would be one of the best all time.
I know he wouldn't have been ready week 1. He'd be ready now but it's too late to turn around on Hoyer. If they started Johnny first they might've sacrificed a few wins and the playoff fun though, so I can't fault them.
I don't think he's a sure thing. I just don't think his passing skills are much worse than Hoyer's, and you know he's got scrambling ability. That opens up a whole different dimension.
By now he'd have a grip on the offense, that's my point. But Hoyer's okay I guess.
Imagine if they started Johnny Football week 1. He'd have experience and he'd be comfortable with the offense.
He'd also be great for short redzone situations like just now. Just have him scramble for a minute and that would give the Browns more of a chance than Hoyer getting sacked.
The decision to kick that FG (especially after he missed it the first time) has to be up there for one of the worst calls I've seen all year. Those 3 points weren't that much of a damn necessity, you knew he was gonna miss the damn FG. They were just asking for Hester to run it in. In fact I...
I am amazed that the freaking lineman got him. Otherwise Hester was in for the TD and I knew it and so did everybody else. Absolutely stupid for them to try a FG
