Before the Cleveland Cavaliers played the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this season, LeBron James spoke about Anthony Davis in the context of today's game.
"I think he's one of the elite players right now," James said last month. "If he continues to stay healthy like he's been doing and continues to keep growing, he can be a superstar in our league for sure."
Friday, James spoke about Davis' place in the context of the history of the game.
"For him to be as young as he is, he plays above his age and that's part of the reason he can continue and probably be one of the greats to play this game," James said of the 21-year-old Pelicans big man.

I was actually being sarcastic.
He's not saying anything really. It's like when somebody says "he's had an MVP type season". Just vague athlete's talk

I think it would be cool for LeBron to come out and say Davis has been the NBA's best player so far, by a considerable margin.  It's true but it would still be cool for him to say that.  I'm curious to see LeBron in game 65 compared to LeBron now.  Hesitant to say Davis is the best player in the world, but he's certainly been the best player 1/4 through the season.

He's at an all-time pace right now. He's doing things and putting up numbers that only HOFers have put up and he is still only 21. If he can at least have a Tim Duncan type career then he would be one of the best all time.
