So as we have seen over the course of this off-season and in the past, the opt-out has been becoming very popular for players and teams. What are your feelings for this deal? Is it a good thing for players and teams, or not so much? Every opinion counts, no wrong one here!
Good get for the Marlins right here. Chen will be a solid number three for their staff, and with the opt out they may not even have to pay him the full amount.
I mean both men would make for a solid 3-4 in their rotation, but along with both they will be losing their 24th overall pick. I'm juts not sure if either are truly worth it, unless they get one of them on the cheaps...i still think a 4-5 year deal is likely for both men in the 68-72 million...
This would literally be the dumbest thing the Braves could do. They've been awful lately, but that robbery they made on Arizona needs to stay that way. Don't try and trade away Inciarte now. Alone he is worth Shelby Miller, and they already have tons of pitching...stay put now and let the...
Yep, official. Revere and a PTBNL for Storen and cash.
Really good deal for both sides, Revere will be a solid CF and a great lead off hitter for the Nationals and Storen now with a solid 8th or 9th inning role should do well. Good deal for both sides.

Mariners have inked reliever Ryan Cook.
Could be a potential solid move, he was a solid reliever out in Oakland and just lost it. Couldn't get it back with Boston (bummed he got booted). I hope he can work some magic back in Seattle.

The Giants and Span have agreed upon a 3 year deal worth 31 million dollars with some incentives added in.
Solid signing for the Giants, they needed a left handed bat and an outfielder. With Span they get both of those and a top of the lineup bat...may be a bit of an overpay, but in this market...
If Griffey and Piazza get in they will be the highest and lowest draft picks in history to enter the Hall of Fame. 1st overalls aren't everything folks.

Would have liked the Red Sox to bring him in on a minor league deal. The Dodgers have tons and tons of depth again.

If anyone can get this guy back on track it's the Pirates. I really hope he returns to form, he was very good until they attempted to make him a starter out in Texas.

Looks like Gordon is heading back to the Royals on a 4 year 72 million dollar deal.
Great deal on paper for the Royals. Keep a franchise guy, who has been there his whole career. Seems like a relatively cheap deal from what he was wanting early on.

Barry Bonds is going to be a great coach I believe, but not with the Marlins. The Marlins are an awful organization and he can't help that.

Sure they want them...but they only want to commit for a 3 year deal. I'm sure neither player wants a 3 year deal, they want more of a 5 year deal with an option or two. In the end I'm sure money will end up being a main factor.
