USA Today's Bob Nightengale is reporting the White Sox will leap at the opportunity to sign either Yoenis Cespedes or Alex Gordon....IF either player is willing to accept a 3-year deal.

The Sox have already added Todd Frazier and Brett Lawrie but have been in the hunt to add a bat to their outfield. I doubt Cespedes or Gordon take such a short deal but I'm thinking Chicago may come a little out of their comfort zone to compromise with either player.

I don't see the Sox going far enough out on a limb to get either of these guys. Gordon will take less to re-sign with the Royals and Cespedes will likely want at least 4 years and someone will give it to him.

Sure they want them...but they only want to commit for a 3 year deal. I'm sure neither player wants a 3 year deal, they want more of a 5 year deal with an option or two. In the end I'm sure money will end up being a main factor.
