And you can't tell me that all scouts believe that. Straight from ESPN Insider:

Strengths:
Maker is an extra long post that is very athletic, mobile and skilled for his size and age. He runs the floor with long strides and catches and finishes...
The difference in these quotes is that they are feeding into the "hype" that they are trying to separate him from... Nobody is comparing him to Durant. Nobody even brought up the two in the same sentence. Being a top player in a draft does not mean you have to be the next LeBron/Durant...
He had some of the highest grades EVER for a big man at the combine. He's raw but he already has skills. He can stretch the floor, rebound on both ends of the floor at an exceptionally high rate, is a great rim protector, and he does have some mobility as a passing forward. He has all of the...
I think their best move is to retool and trade Griffin. I don't ever see him as a consistent 3pt shooting forward that can space the floor and as long as they are committed to Jordan in the middle, that'll be what they need. They looked so much better this year when they had floor spacing and...
It's like you guys don't even watch basketball. "Steph Curry is one of the best defenders in the league" "Thon is clumsy and doesn't look like he can play".
Much has been made this past offseason about how well the Clippers played without their "building block" in Blake Griffin. While CP3 has been running the show, much of the franchise has been on the Blake bandwagon over the years, capitalizing on his in-game improvements and marketability. With...
I'd probably go Lowry, just from a defensive standpoint. Dragic would be more electric on offense and they would really get into a run-n-gun type of game, but the defensive end would be a shit show.
This is going to be labeled as a "homer pick" but why are the Browns not even an option? They were extremely busy on draft day, landed a top flight receiver, acquired a ton of picks which were used on strong character (and highly rated from college) players, and out of all 7 rounds had two...
I don't really see DeMarco as anything more than a pure runner. I think this was pretty evident in the way that Chip used him (or rather didn't, in favor of Mathews). Le'Veon and Charles are the two best all around backs in the league though, and then it drops off into a secondary tier in my...
They're both so damn good I'm not sure how one can say the other is definitively better. AD was going to be the "face of the league" just two years ago and he had one down year, while Towns exploded and had a great rookie year. They both have similar games and they wreak havoc on both ends. I do...
I went with Warriors in 6. I'll definitely be rooting for this Thunder team, and I believe that they can make things really interesting. Matchup of the series will be Goatbrook vs Curry.
Really? You're going to use RUBIO as an example for defense? He's been improved, but damn, he's nothing special either. I think you place too much value in guys improving, rather than actually being "good" at defense.
Thon projected in the 2nd in a lot of mocks is just a joke. He will be the best player out of this draft, without question. I'm also a big fan of Poeltl out of Utah.
Not sure that he'll go that high. He has an incredible ceiling, but he's so raw that he'll be a long project. With a lot of top-heavy star power in this draft, I don't think a team in that sort of position will go with a boom-or-bust type of pick.
