I've seen people say it's in the 20-30 Million range, but then I see tweets that basically say Mets are paying Cano $60M over 5 years.

Are they just factoring in the contracts of Bruce & Swarzak headed to Seattle?
It's also interesting the Mets signed IF Dilson Herrera yesterday. He was a part of the Jay Bruce trade back in 2016. Most Mets fans hated that we traded him though I didn't see anything in the kid. Now we bring him back on a Minor League deal. It's almost like Brodie Van Wagenen did it on...
Well they're definitely getting back a top prospect in Jarred Kelenic. Though he's only seen Rookie ball at this point so who really knows if he's elite. But he was our 6th overall pick in 2018. General consensus is he's got a pretty high ceiling. Though people used to say that about Justin Dunn...
There's no way they do that.
They're going to want to take on as little as possible, get the Mariners to take Bruce, and hopefully not give up too much.
The one positive is Cano definitely helps us, and then we can move McNeil to 3rd. If we get rid of Bruce too this frees up 1st for Peter...
I mean we had mo shot of running the table but fuck that was a rough loss. Completely different team in the 2nd half.
No more wins now. Tank for that pick.
As a Mets fan we need a lot of things - but top 2 are probably Closer & Catcher. Ramos would be a huge get but I could see us getting someone like Maldonado instead. Which I think I'd be ok with.
This. They worked hard just to get under the Luxury Tax, I can't imagine they go back over - and I don't see how they lock up one of those guys to a massive contract and are able to stay under the tax.
I'm probably wrong.
