If you're assuming James Harden doesn't get better this off-season, sure, looking at it in that Kevin Martin can replicate what James did last year works

But Harden is 23 this season, was just as good as Martin has ever been last season as a 22 year old, and is only getting better. Kevin Martin is a finished product, you know what you're going to get from him.

I don't remember ever talking about the future. The argument was does/did the trade make the Thunder take a step back this year, and it OBVIOUSLY doesn't.

As far as the future goes, the acquisition of Lamb as well as the two other picks they got should be more than enough to cover for it,

I don't see how this can be considered a bad deal for OKC

Perkins is immovable. His contract sucks, and he has no value. Re-signing Harden completely destroys a bench, because they will have no money for any good role players like Thabo.

Martin offers production similar to Harden, and saves cap for their bench, while also landing their future SG

Why do you have a Thomas Robinson avy?

And I don't mind the trade, but Harden isn't a superstar like some people think he is.

let me just say a few things

1. We all knew they were going to have to break up their big 4

2. I never understood why james wasnt starting. this whole 6th man stuff is crap

3.. I was saying Free James long before it was even being whispered about him being possibly traded. Just wanted him to spread his wings. Get a true shot because I really love his game

4. Because he was a 6th man, he's the easiest to replace even though he's much better talent-wise than a 6th man, and even though Serge is overrated, i understand why they kept him and have no issue at all with that

5. Go back to the trade thread, I said it was a win-win. I was just happy to see James get his own team honestly

I was even beginning to accept him staying in OKC long term because for a while it sounded like he was. Again, I was just happy he got a shot

I have no beef with Kmart or OKC

Clippers and Knicks need to have a "too-many-players"-off
