Because it wouldn't make sense.
We're talking about a guy that wouldn't even give in even when 7 or 8 people were beating his ass up for months. Talking about the Nexus.

Cena is not going to turn heel if there isn't another top guy on RAW ready to take his spot. With Cena heel, there would be NO main event face left on the RAW roster. If Punk, Lesnar, and Cena join forces, who the hell are they going to rally against? Kofi Kingston?

All that while it'd be a bad business decision as well. Cena still sells the most merch.
The business standpoint was what my main point was. They definitely could move Orton or Sheamus back to Raw though and have a top face other than Cena.

Or bring back Triple H because he has unfinished business with Heyman. Either way.

Smackdown needs them Orton and Sheamus more, even though they still be on Raw lol.

And Randy is apparently begging to be heel again as well.

Good he's better as one. He's great as a tweener but Punk is already the tweener and you can't really have 2. I'd love to see Orton as heel but then we're REALLY short on faces.

I'd LOVE for Cody Rhodes to get a huge face push to the main event. But it's never going to happen, at least not with Vince in charge and his preference for big guys.

Everyone thought it was nuts to turn Hogan as well. If that faction just starts beating on people ala the NWO, it'll make faces. I GUARANTEE they could make Ryback into a superface. I mean, it worked for Goldberg and Ryback can actually wrestle.

Obviously, there'd need to be a sit down to work out logistics and make sure everything works but there's no doubt that the product has become a bit stale. This is exactly the type of storyline that would change that.

Think about any "golden" time in wrestling, there was usually a massive heel stable that ran shit. The Horsemen, The Heenan Family, Ministry of Darkness, Evolution, the Corproration, McMahon/Helmsley, etc.

At the end of the day they can make up for merchandise by selling the business. And this would sell business.

I agree that it would be awesome, I just can't see WWE doing it. They've had chances to up their stale product for awhile and haven't. And as you know Cena is so over with the kids especially.

Again, I know, but it's worked/happened before. I'm hoping that they've just been biding their time and waiting for the right moment. They could have turned Cena before but that would just be making him heel for the sake of it.

the Nexus angle offered far a better opportunity for him to turn

Disagree. He's not young and trying to make a name for himself like Nexus. Besides, it would have been too easy to do it then. If you turn a guy like Cena, your TOP guy, it needs to be sort-of out of nowhere (with the internet, that's near impossible).

I haven't watched in a month or two, but it's a stretch to call those guys talent.

the term 'talent' also refers to the wrestlers in general, WWE's performers if you will.

After seeing that Ryback match, and a few others he's been in the past few weeks, I'm backing off of the statement I made earlier about him.

I'm not even talking about him unable to pick up Albert (because he did it on Smackdown pretty easily). All of his matches are exactly the same. He toys around with them for about a minute, clothesline, then his finisher. Rinse and repeat. Maybe that's just them showing his dominance in the ring, but if they're going to continue this Ryback mega-push, they really need to show some more variety.

Just on Superstars 2 weeks ago Mahal was facing McIntyre. It was seeming that he was going the face route as the crowd cheered him on but WWE fucked that all up last night lol.

I find it funny how all middle-eastern based characters use the camel clutch.

WWE Contemplating Undertaker vs. Ryback Match At ‘Mania; Has The Deadman Wrestled His Last Match?

Despite the strong build for a match between WWE Champion CM Punk and Ryback, it is only being teased at this point and no concrete plans will be made until November or December. The match may not even occur since there has discussion of Ryback facing Undertaker at WrestleMania XXIX, with The Deadman’s undefeated streak at the pay-per-view extravaganza going up against Ryback’s overall undefeated streak. However, some people within WWE have speculated that Undertaker may not even work next year’s show.
Lord no.

no way they work ryback up this much to have him lose to 'taker because there is NO way they would have him beat 'taker.
