He exploded for one year, so I can see keeping him in the top 15 and not wanting to jump him too high.

On the other hand, Jaws has Flacco ahead of Tony Romo and Matt Schaub, which is fucking ridiculous.

The top 15 QBs in the order they belong (discounting Peyton Manning because he hasn't played in a year).

1. Rodgers
2. Brady
3. Roethlisberger
4. Brees
5. Eli
6. Rivers
7. Romo
8. Schaub
9. Stafford
10. Jay Cutler
11. Michael Vick
12. Joe Flacco
13. Matt Ryan
14. Cam Newton
15. Freeman/Cassell/(maybe)Fitzpatrick

lol at Roethlisberger over Brees

Roethlisberger is bar none the third best QB in the NFL. He's clutch as all hell and 9 times out of 10 is going to win a close game.

LOL at Stafford and Cutler over Romo. There is absolutely NO argument for either case.

Don't be a Romo hater. He's easily a top 7 QB, and is damn close to elite. Cutler and Stafford? Not so much. Remember, Stafford is Calvin Johnson away from only 25 TDs. Romo would have had probably closer to 35 had Austin stayed healthy or Bryant shown up in every game.

Again, no argument for Stafford or Cutler over Romo. None, whatsoever. You're just being a Romo hater.

I'm a huge supporter of Tony Romo, you are just a homer.

Cutler hasn't had a single decent receiver in his career as a Bear, and has put up good numbers still. He had plenty of slot guys, but in most scenarios a slot receiver cannot be a #1 option
Give him the 6'4" Jeffery and Brandon Marshall (they had that 21 reception game a few years ago while in Denver), and he'll do great.

I think there is no question about it, Cutler has a better arm than Romo. In his last year as a Bronco, he threw for 4500 yards, and he's gotten stronger. He's just had no receivers.
Give Jay some options, and he'll do very well. Plus Laurent was a good guy for Dallas and now he's gone.

And yes, Stafford does only have Calvin really. So what? Calvin is a Top 2 WR in the league; he's taller and faster than almost everyone. He's so hard to defend. He'll get 15+ TD rec each year, and he'll create more space for the other guys like Pettigrew and Broyles.

I think Romo is very good, but he's not better than those above him

He's better than both Stafford and Cutler, as of right now. He's statistically better than Cutler in just about every category.

I don't see how anyone could justify Josh Freeman over Cam. Freeman has been terrible 2/3 years in his career so far.

I'd take a lot of guys over Romo any day.

Stats? lol And you can't blame Stafford for having a great WR, if that was true, Peyton is massively overrated for having Wayne, and Harrison his whole career.

Because you're a Romo hater, not because there are a lot quarterbacks in the NFL who are better than Tony Romo. There's 6. No more. No less.

Yes, stats. Romo has significantly more touchdowns and significantly less turnovers in less games. Tony Romo is better than Jay Cutler.

He's also still better than Matt Stafford.

Look, I don't care if you don't think Tony Romo's great, but don't allow your hate to underrate him.

Also, please tell me you're not one of them idiots who think Michael Vick is better than Tony Romo.

We my as well just discount everything that Montana did. He had Jerry Rice.

I don't understand all of the Romo hate, I understand he hasn't taken Dallas very far and all of that but lots of factors play into that, but I think Romo is very underrated by most and takes more heat then he deserves. I'd gladly take Romo to be the Bengals starting QB. I like Stafford as much as anyone on this forum, but it was just one year, he needs to continue to stay healthy and keep playing at a high level, which he did last year. A lot of quarterbacks didn't get that respect until they showed they could keep doing it year after year and take their team deep into the playoffs. Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Roethlisberger, both Manning's have proven themselves time and time again.

Yeah, and didn't Stafford have a 4 or 5 INT game last year? Big deal.

All I'm saying is Stafford had one great year with 41 TDs and a lot of receiving options. Derek fucking Anderson threw 29 TDs one year. Now, Stafford is 10X better than DA ever was, but players have anomaly seasons. There's no reason to believe that Stafford will throw 40 ever again with teams gearing up to stop CJ.

Romo, when healthy, consistently throws 30 or 30+ TDs. Right now, he's better than Matt Stafford.

Stafford has Calvin Johnson, but Romo has had T.O., Miles Austin, Jason Witten and Dez Bryant throughout his career.

they can gear up to stop CJ except you cant stop CJ. if they slow CJ we still have three other options. stafford is going to be an elite passer. its all on his health now. we all know he has a cannon, and hes not a bad athlete so he can get away on his feet if he needs to.

People who say it was "just one year" is ridiculous IMO. You don't get the what, 5th most passing yards in an NFL season off of a fluke. He can throw the ball with the best of them. Keep in mind also, that we didn't have any resemblance of a running game last season. His numbers already were amazing, and also he had those 3 or so games where he played bad because of the injury to the finger on his throwing hand. Without that, his numbers are even better. The defenses knew we were throwing almost every play, yet still couldn't stop Stafford. He deserves to be known as a top 10 QB, and after next season, top 5.
Both of his injured seasons however, were flukes. Any QB in the NFL likely gets hurt off of those hits he took to get the shoulder injuries. And even so, since then he has bulked up his upper body, to try to prevent injuries like that happening again.

With that said, he is a much better quarterback then Romo, in my eyes. I can think of any reasons I'd take Romo over Stafford.

27 isn't 40 and Derek Anderson was not the #1 pick in the draft. Stafford was taken that high because the talent is there to throw 40 year in and year out.

Stats don't mean anything, you especially should know this. Troy Aikman, NEVER threw for more than 20 TD's in a season, and in a quarter of the seasons he played, he threw more INT's than TD's. In your eyes, Romo is better than Aikman because Romo's career QB Rating is 96.9, and Aikman's 81.6.

But no, that's not the case.

And yes, I would take Vick over Romo. Vick actually works on football in the off-season, rather than going on vacations all the time with his celebrity girlfriends.
