Maybe most compelling evidence is transcript of notes that not only alleges Vilma and Ornstein pledged $10k to KO Favre, but 'Vitt - $5k'.

Where is the evidence? Goodell could put this all to bed and end this right now. Shit, he could have ended this weeks or months ago, yet chose not to. The guy is a buffoon who is the leader of one of, if not THE most, powerful and lucrative sports entities in the world, and is slowly driving it into the ground. With the lawsuits on concussions pending, coupled with what could be a HUGE pay off for defamation lawsuits, the NFL is about to find itself with the likes of Tobacco suit payouts. Only, the NFL won't be able to increase it's market via more production inside and outside the US. This very well could bankrupt the league and end the NFL as we all know it.

I think this whole situation arose from the hearsay of a few people, most of who had axes to grind, and was viewed as a quick bandaid to the large concussion problem. I truly believe Goodell and the rest of the NFL exec's thought that they would levy out punishment and those effected would go quietly into the night, accept it, and move on. I'd like to know what Goodell stands to lose by releasing the evidence, and the evidence that has been "leaked" or has been handed over has been complete garbage. Is a coincidence that we get a statement from the only player that's had multiple drug charges (in which that player has admitted to the NFL manipulating his words)? Or the emails from a guy in jail (which have been said to be a joke and that picture backs that up)? Or fucking journalist articles that came out AFTER suspensions, that the NFL released as evidence to the players and their lawyers? Or QUOTES from a coach? What kind of evidence is that? How do you punish someone because of the spoken word?

When Goodell actually PROVES that a bounty took place, or when the players finally admit to it and don't file appeals, deny it ever happened, or sue the commish. If Vilma is guilty, I personally believe he wouldn't be going to the great lengths he has. Until then I'll just believe this is a total sham from Goodell. Why wouldn't I?

I will say this though, despite any proof, or lack of, Goodell still has the final say so it doesn't matter what they show as "proof". Call it what it is, a sham. But a sham the players agreed to in the current CBA. They have only themselves to blame.

Why would you? He has absolutely no reason to attack the Saints in any way and has no reason to make any of this shit up.

If he doesn't legally have to show the evidence, why would he?

It is. Payments for big plays. Nothing about a bounty program. Nothing about injuries. "cart offs" or knock outs"

According to an NFLPA document obtained by
PFT, the union took five main points away from the 200 pages of documents the league turned over Friday.
They are:
– None of the slides the NFL presented as evidence were ever shown to any Saints coaches by league investigators.
– The union believes it has valid explanations from Saints players, coaches and individuals who attended defensive meetings for the information the league is using as evidence of bounties.
– The union believes after interviewing players who were present in the defensive meetings, that the words of former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams which are being used as the focus of their investigation were intended to be motivational, rather than literal.
– The union learned that Sean Payton associate Mike Ornstein told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell personally that he never intended the email as a “bounty,” telling Goodell of a message from Williams indicating the team never took it as such.
– The league never informed players of any of what it considers “exculpatory or mitigating evidence
