It's a shame the Celtics got fucked in game 2... they shoulda had this series. I hope they bring it back for one more year because with the draft picks they have and a healthy Avery Bradley they can still compete.

If it's the end for them, one hell of a run.
I think Ray will retire, but we'll have Jeff Green and Bradley back.
KG and Bass will re-up as well.

We will have ~$30M in cap space to get some good FAs. Plus the 2 picks

There is a 0% chance Ray plays for someone aside for the Celtics next year
If the Celtics are rebuilding, why would he want to go back?

He'll want another shot at a ring.

What better place to go for it than Miami?

He is most likely retiring, but Boston is his family. And we would probably be competing if Ray and KG were back

And FWIW, Chicago would be a 1000x better fit than Miami

Unless Ray simply doesn't want to play anymore, I don't see why he would retire. He has a lot of basketball left in him.

If Ray and KG are back next year, you're not rebuilding anymore, and your team will look incredibly similar to this years team, which wasn't good enough.

The Bulls would not be a good fit, they're not winning a ring next year. Rose will miss a large chunk of time with the injury and he definitely won't be the same player right when he comes back.

Bench player, or starter and #1/2 scoring option for half a season

It's not even close
If he's caring about starting/not starting at this point, he's doing it wrong

He'll still see significant minutes and would be on the floor at the end of games.

Rio - Ray - Wade - Bron - Bosh

They were missing two of their top 7 players and they also have 2 firsts and cap room to go out and get players.

All's I'm saying is

Rondo - Bradley - Pierce - Bass - Garnett

Ray Allen, Jeff Green, 2 draft picks, sign a veteran PG.

Their title window isn't closed at all.

Why delay an inevitable rebuild another year? They are not winning another title, start your rebuild.
