He's just out of shape because he likes to eat and he can't work out with his back being all fucked up. He'll be back to jacked Dwight in no time.

Dwight Howard still prefers a trade from the Magic, according to a source.

Orlando announced that the tenures of Stan Van Gundy and Otis Smith were over on Monday, but Howard still seeks a trade before the start of the season, according to the source.

The Nets are considered the frontrunner, but "it is not going to be a one-horse race,” the source said. The Mavericks and Knicks are also in the conversation, while the Lakers and Clippers are as well to a lesser extent.

Howard is eager to begin the next phase of his career and the Magic don't want a repeat of circumstances they endured during the 11-12 season.

Executives from the Magic are expected to meet with Howard soon and will accomodate his trade request should he ask for a trade.

The team that is able and willing to take back the contract of Hedo Turkoglu is likely to have an edge in trading for Howard.

Saw on PTI that Jerry Sloan is interested in the Magic job.

I’ve already told you that Dwight Howard wants out of Orlando, and now I have another piece of info to report.

A plugged-in league source tells SheridanHoops.com that the feeling is mutual, and Orlando is prepared to trade him sooner rather than later.

The source said that when Magic team president traveled to Michigan last weekend to speak in person with owner Rich DeVos, the conclusion was reached that not only was it time for Stan

Van Gundy and Otis Smith to go, but Howard, too.

That means the Magic will be proactive in soliciting deals once next week’s draft lottery results are in, clearing up the lay of the land in terms of which teams can offer the most value in return.

The source spoke to SheridanHoops.com on condition of anonymity.

so if the Nets get the #1 pick, do they trade it for Dwight?
could they get Dwight without it?

i can't figure out this team. First they want him to not opt-out and they won't trade him. Then he says he won't opt-out and now the rumor is they wanna trade him. And then they go ahead and fire SVG and the GM as well which makes no fucking sense.

i've given up on caring about this. I'll keep my eye on what's going on but i'm not gonna get absorbed into this fiasco once again.

If the Magic got Anthony Davis for Dwight Howard, that would be such an amazing trade.

I'd rather have a 19 year old Anthony Davis than Dwight Howard.

i would too. gives you a lot more time to build around him. not to mention i think ad will have a better face-up game, and damn near close to post-up game.

Making moves based off star power and name recognition is stupid.
