Dwight Howard regrets his decision to forgo his early termination option on his 12-13 contract, according to sources
Howard seeks a trade before next season and his camp is applying pressure on the Magic to pursue a deal as soon as a new general manager is in place.
Several GM candidates have been creating trade scenarios involving Howard and proposing them to CEO Alex Marins during the interview process.

He didn't want to play in Houston, actually. Had he not signed the agreement, he is a RocketOnly reason he picked it up was because he didn't want to lose all that endorsement money.
If this thing was a joke before, what is it now? Appeal to the NBA to undo the opt-in? Dwight's a fucker.Howard picked up the option for the final year of his contract with Orlando on March 15. But since then, he has grown increasingly disgruntled with the organization, even telling people close to him that he feels the Magic blackmailed him into signing the "opt-in" clause.
Howard shared his feelings of being blackmailed by the Magic with the NBA Players Association last week, sources said. He -- either himself or through his representatives -- approached the union wondering if he might have a legal complaint against the club.
The goal of such a complaint would be to eliminate his "opt-in," thereby allowing Howard to become a free agent this summer.
Sources said the union has no plans to pursue any such legal action against the Magic.
