jamison is a $20m expiring..
The Hornets already have a big expiring.

Why would the Hornets trade a quality center AND a first for a expiring?

Especially when they can just amnesty Okafor and that Minny pick just became more valuable with Rubio going down. Dell Demps isn't retarded, that's just a terrible rumor.

Okafor is beyond overpaid, and the Hornets aren't in a position to pay someone 26 million dollars over 2 years to not be on their team.

Dell Demps is the one who wanted the Hornets to become the Rocket 2.0, but even a little more mediocre so I question his decision making.

It's a retarded rumor lol

The Hornets aren't trading the pick that almost made the Chris Paul deal not go through for an expiring contract. Especially when it's value just sky rocketed.

Not to even mention, how can you talk about what position the Hornets are in when our next owner, while is close to being named, is not known yet? It's impossible to know what the Hornets can afford and can't afford until then.

It also goes against what I'm hearing from Hornets people who I trust saying that Demps is trying to acquire a third pick in the draft, and not trade another.

You saying it isn't retarded is retarded...

Truth is though, nobody knows what the Hornets can and can't do, but it is a fact that the Hornets won't be hurt by paying Mek that contract, maybe last year at this time but not anymore. But like I said, any chance of trading that pick just to dump a contract was eliminated when Rubio went out for the year. That is now potentially looking like a solid pick because of Minny's upcoming schedule.

These Knicks.... BURN 'EM ALL!!!!

Half of them don't seem to give two shits anymore. I say bench Amar'e tomorrow and let him play with the 2nd unit. Play Melo at the 4 (did pretty well early on when he played at the 4 and Amar'e Chandler was in foul trouble) and Novak at SF. Give the guy the kick in the ass he needs because he sure as hell doesn't have even an ounce of the same intensity he had last season.

I don't care if his back or knees hurt. You make 1/3 of our payroll. Take a cortisone shot and man the fuck up.

How often do you anticipate watching bad baseball when you watch a Lakers/Celtics game?

agreed. I never thought I'd be so eager to get Jared Jeffries back.

One thing I did notice last night, is offensively, our offense is so much more effective with Amar'e or Chandler, but not both. Especially since Chandler hasn't hit a shot outside the paint this year, he can't clear a defender out of the way for a Stat P&R because no defender is going to follow him.

I saw a lot of bloggers on Twitter last night suggesting he play off the bench so that you don't have him, TC & Melo on at the same time and it would help space the floor and fit into D'Antoni's system -- but he'd still be getting a good amount of minutes. I don't necessarily agree with the idea but I can see why they think it might work.
It might work, but then again, if TC or Amare came off the bench it would be a huge blow to their ego and they wouldn't play as well as they should be. I remember watching the P&R with Felton and Amare. It worked so well.

LOL Okafor and a first will NOT be traded for Jamison.

I also heard James Harden + Ibaka for Dwight, but OKC doesn't want to do it.

Payroll is a constant concern for the New Orleans Hornets, who are owned by the league while a buyer is sought. The Cavs called the Hornets earlier this season offering to swallow Emeka Okafor's massive contract that pays him $28 million the next two seasons, but only if the Hornets would include one of their two first-round picks. They declined.
