On the first play of OT, which is even better. So much to see how the new OT playoff rule works lolStill in shock the Broncos pulled it out. Nuts.

Going to have some good games this weekend. That's my thought. All teams have a chance of winning. I don't think the Broncos will be able to keep up with the Patriots, but I didn't think they would be able to against the Steelers either. So, what's yalls thoughts on the games this weekend?
Won't resign both,Lions are working on extending Calvin I read on Profootballtalk or they are atleast wanting too. Also they are wanting to resign Cliff Avril also.
Free agent after this season coming up. I dunno Lions are trying to get an extension done for Calvin because that will clear up some cap space for us to be able to resign and sign new players to our roster. I think something will be done this offseason. When is Calvin a free agent, 2013?
Coming off the year he had, it's going to be hard to get a deal done now (at least my opinion). They'll probably tag him when he hits free agency, and then work out a long term deal.
Mayhew said himself that they are going to try and resign both of them. I think it could get done, but there is a chance that it couldn't also. First thing we would have to do is like I said give Calvin an extension on his contract, so that can clear up some cap space. Which then would allow us to give Avril more money.Won't resign both,
I think you mean you didnt think the Steelers would lose to the Broncos.I don't think the Broncos will be able to keep up with the Patriots, but I didn't think they would be able to against the Steelers either.
They really have to re-sign him soonWhen is Calvin a free agent, 2013?

The main reason why they gave up that many points is that 4 or 5 of their starters were either out before the game or hurt in the first quarter iirc. If they were not injured it would've been a whole different story imo.I think you mean you didnt think the Steelers would lose to the Broncos.
Keeping up is completely different.
The Steelers averaged 20.3 PPG, and Denver averaged 19.3 PPG. So if both offenses were on their games, they could match each others scoring (which they did). But you thought the Steelers defense, who gave up 14.2 PPG, would be too strong for Denver, who gave up 24.4 PPG. In truth, the Pittsburgh offense/Denver defense did what was expected. Pittsburgh scored 23 points that game, which is fairly close to the average of the Steelers PPG scored and the Broncos PPG allowed (22.4 PPG). But it was the Steelers defense that failed, giving up 29 points because the Steelers were too concentrated on stopping the run, and Tebow burned them
I guarantee Belichick will play more conservatively defensively, and with an offense that averaged over 32 PPG, I agree that they cant keep up with the Patriots
they had ryan clark out, but that was the only defensive starter missing. Cortez Allen, their nickel corner was out as well. They stacked the box and played man, and Tebow read through that. The main reason why they gave up that many points is that 4 or 5 of their starters were either out before the game or hurt in the first quarter iirc. They had other starters get hurt in the first quarter or second quarter also. Keisel and Hampton both got injured in the first or second quarter and then Clark being out and then I'm pretty sure there was another guy also. Clark is a huge piece of that defense also.they had ryan clark out, but that was the only defensive starter missing. Cortez Allen, their nickel corner was out as well. BB wont do that, purely because it failed with the Steelers, and if the Patriots tried that, the outcome would probably be worse
Injuries go both ways. Would've been a whole different story with a healthy Von Miller, Brian Dawkins, Spencer Larsen alsoThe main reason why they gave up that many points is that 4 or 5 of their starters were either out before the game or hurt in the first quarter iirc.
