I spoke to a Western Conference coach 20 minutes ago who was praising the Hornets for the deal. Trade sounded pretty good for N.O.

Once the Lakers traded for CP3, first thought in my mind was actually that mexi was gonna become a Laker fan again and forget about Blake.. That ended tonight

No, the NBA can't overturn one man's decision. They're overturning the trade because the league owns the Hornets and the majority of the league didn't want the deal to go through.
Like I give a fuck what the league thinks.

The league let the Hornets talk to any team they wanted for any player they wanted, and the Hornets finally get a deal that benefits them and all these bitches start their whining?

Fuck that shit. :upyours:

If the Lakers traded for Dwight and CP3, the odds of you mentioning him this year are slim to none.

Look, when the league bought the Hornets (and that's all the owners, they agreed to this) we were told we would that the league would let us operate just like any other team. We were given a budget, which we haven't met. If we haven't met it, the deal should have happened.

Lets be clear here, NBA can't just "veto" anything they want. When someone says the "league" killed this trade, it's the owners who killed it. THey were able to kill it because League owns Hornets, and league could pull the plug.

NBA is a goddamn joke.

Wow, how can the NBA really think they can do this and not expect every fan (the ones left after the lockout ran many off) not to see this as pure manipulation by the NBA to get the outcome they desire? Does it give any other impression than the NBA overall certainly is fixed. How can they get mad at a ref for fixing games, when they want to fix the league? How many of those "upset owners" did not mind trying to pry CP3 away from us for nothing themselves? Now they want to put because they were unsuccessful? Sad state for a ridiculous league.

RT @Mike_Bresnahan: From NBA source: "Not true that owners killed the deal. League office declined to make the trade for basketball reasons.
and what "basketball reasons" would those be exactly??

Pretty much...

That team at best would've been competing for 6-8th seeds and taking 1st round losses. I'd rather suck and try to get that Anthony Davis type franchise player talent.
