Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson was late to the party this year as he held out for big money. His wait paid off on Sept. 1 when he signed a four-year, $53.5 million deal with $30 million guaranteed.

However, those big bucks haven't paid off for the 3-3 Titans yet this season. Johnson has rushed for 268 yards and one touchdown this season. In Sunday's 41-7 crushing loss to the Houston Texans, he only took the ball 18 yards on 10 carries.

"Sources have told Titans Insider that Johnson's conditioning when he ended his holdout and reported to the team was perhaps not as good as it needed to be, and that that conditioning issue could be a factor in why the running back has been having problems getting going this season," according to the site.

The team was last in the NFL in rushing at the start of the day, according to the Insider, and it didn't much to change that Sunday, rushing 53 yards on 15 carries.
"I feel like I've been back," Johnson said, according to the Insider. "I feel like my conditioning and me missing camp, I can't say that's the problem with the running game."

Is that not what we said about ESPN only talking about those other stories???
Its just some people are trying to make it seem that its only because he is in Tennessee...which could be a very small part of it, but nothing more.

I'm pretty sure it's a big part of it...

If he was on a high profile team and was struggling, I'm sure people would be all over the story.

He's on Tennessee, nobody cares if Tennessee doesn't do good, thus they aren't gonna cover it.

It's not talked about because it's shrugged off as just someone struggling on the field. He would be all over the news if he was struggling without a contract extension (example: Hillis)

Hillis was on the cover of Madden, so I would assume that ESPN assumes the people would want to hear more about him
Im tired of all this tebow (or Teboq, lol) dick sucking...its gotten hella annoying
People praise him for a game in which I personally think he did an average job at best in
sure, he contributed in the comeback, but was I the only one that saw the bad throws? Like that overthrow to Eric Decker that wouldve been an easy touchdown had he put the ball in the right place
I dont mean to burst anyone's bubble, but Im tired of hearing about Tebow

Meanwhile, Matt Forte is getting paid 600k and he already has 1,100 yards from scrimmage this year

He's a guy who held out to get paid in the offseason, than has done basically nothing so far this year, after being considered one of, if not, the best RB in the league. Plus, playing in Tennessee, where they would rather focus on Houston and the Colts, because they don't have Peyton. He's being treated like a guy struggling on the field, but yet everyone is slowly watching and waiting for that big game. He had one, and probably will have a couple more, at least, before the season is over. Just not anything even close to the past.

I hope they bench him for at least the first quarter.
