I'm not going to be able to get through to you because you clearly don't have the mental capacity for hockey.

Fact is, nobody cares about the NBA anymore.

Mental capacity for hockey? Forgot how complex of a sport it is

Fact is, the NBA just had it's most popular season in ages.

I think it is safe to say more people care about the NBA than the NHL?
I like hockey too.

NHL isn't even a major sport. Nobody cares about it in America except the northern states.

Gotta love how America couldn't care less about it and still has the most popular/highest quality hockey league in the world.

You probably said this last year two and didn't include the Mavericks in your list.

The Lakers were a lock to win the West remember?
last year i think everyone said this going into the season(no particular order)

lakers
celtics
heat
thunder
mavs
magic

spurs and bulls were the real "surprises"

But how many of those teams did you really see getting to the Finals?

In the West LA was the clear choice.

In the East it was BOS or MIA.

The Mavs were just a surprise.

who cares what i said
im a homer lol

the non-homers probably all had lakers or thunder or mavs. im sure most had the lakers, and that was deserved. lakers looked deep, had just won 2 in a row, why not pick them?

Mexi NOBODY said Mavs going into the season, everyone thought their window was closed. This season, I could name at least 4 teams from EACH LEAGUE with a chance at a title. So your "4 teams total" thing is wrong.

well look at the facts

the last western team to win not from texas or the lakers was the sonics in '79

east is similar
celtics, bulls, heat, pistons are the only franchises to win since the sixers in 83

7 teams in 28 years

So are we going to have a season or not? I don't really care and haven't been following. We get it, we get it. We don't, we don't. It's weird though, For the first time in my life the last few months I haven't been overdosing myself on sports. After the Mavs won I just had a euphoric high because none of my teams had ever won anything. So yeah, champs for an extra year? Fine by me even though we'll be horrific the next year since were already old

First two weeks are gone, not surprised. Whatever needs to happen to fix the NBA is fine with me.

The NBA announced today that it has canceled the first two weeks of the 2011-12 regular season because a new collective bargaining agreement has not been reached with the National Basketball Players Association. This cancellation includes all games originally scheduled to be played through November 14.

College basketball will be getting a lot more attention from me this season. I usually follow it loosely, might really get into it now.
