Saw the scrolling text on ESPN say the players want the average salary to rise to $7 mill from the $5 mill it is now. In comparison, the average nfl player makes $1 mill and the average mlb player makes $3.3 mill, and those are bigger, more profitable sports.

i just wish there was more sense of urgency like the NFL

during the NFL lockout there were meetings all the time
here, there's like 1 meeting a month and then we get the "they probably won't meet on sunday"
The difference is that the NBA owners aren't pushing to get a season going until they get what they want.

Everyone I've heard from is siding with the owners rather easily, as they should.
Yeah, thats how it should be but according to ESPN and iamagm, both polls are heavily favoring supporting the players.

Players aren't pushing for anything either....if they would of accepted the 50-50 split that was proposed, the lockout would already be over...or almost over. But no they are greedy punks who are only concerned about getting the most money they possibly can.

sorry to be pessimistic but it just seems like their is way to much differences to overcome to end this lockout

NBA is pretty much pointless. Easily the worst of the 4 major sports.

i love basketball, but i do think the NBA is too narrow (is that the right word?)

coming into the season, there is literally 4 or 5 teams who can win the title, and that might be generous

need more parity

You probably said this last year two and didn't include the Mavericks in your list.

The Lakers were a lock to win the West remember?

LOL how true.

I guess the NBA players are going to tweet LET US PLAY today lol. 1 that won't do anything, and 2 if they weren't so greedy, they could be playing.

Basketball is boring as fuck on TV, and only average in person. Hockey in person is the best... period.
