You were talking about the Tigers and potentially being in the World Series and I threw out that it probably doesn't matter. Probably would have said the same thing to any non Phillies fan who was talking about going to the World Series from the NL side.
I know it's not something we will have to worry bout any time soon, or if at all,
Not like I was proclaiming World Series. Was just raising the question for thoughts.

All I can say is... We'll see come playoff time, I think Detroit has the talent to do some serious damage, it's just doing it. I don't really care what anyone thinks, it's hard saying what will happen. Right now they are as good as they've been all year, they just need to keep it going. I like the Tigers chances, that's all I'm going to say about it.

But you were still talking about what to do if they made it that far. Gonna have to comment on Tiger talk if I wanna post in this thread, otherwise its just me an mexi talking about irrelevant stuff.

Question.

You've said multiple times how good the D-Backs are.
Yet they play in a division which is basically the NL's AL Central.
and the phillies get to face the marlins and mets

and whats your question? lol

Well if it actually happened I'd just keep V-Mart available late in the game for a clutch pinch hitting situation.

Well I see no reason why it seems you are trying to disprove the Tigers as a good team, when the D-Backs competition is almost as bad. Yet you make it seem like the D-Backs are the GOATs of the league lol. (obviously an exaggeration)

I doubt it, Papi sucks at first and he sucks in right field.

And all of these questions shouldn't even have to be asked. It's just stupid to have different rules in each league. Both leagues should have a DH. Who the hell wants to watch a pitcher bat? Baseball purists are idiotic.

Agreed, so stupid.
It gives the NL such an edge when they got a pitcher out there who's actually done that all season.

I said the Diamondbacks offense is bad without Justin Upton and you went on to say it isn't, so I don't see why he would want to ask me.

well to be fair, NL pitchers still suck at hitting lol

and to cheato's point, i've been leaning towards in DH in the NL too
it doesnt affect much anyways. the pitcher hits like 2 or 3 times a game then in the 5h inning on, its a pinch hitter.
pitchers hitting is overrated

DBacks are amazing
i dont know how they are this good

i feel like they're really getting lucky and overachieving

i feel like this should be a 4 man race for 1st between everyone but the Pads. i dont think the DBacks suck and are just plain lucky this year though. dont get me wrong, but certainly they are overachieving
You call them both amazing, good, and lucky.

they would be worse, but they'd still have more homers than the giants and dodgers

they would still compete
they have a 9 game lead. Upton is not worth a 9 game lead

Regardless, the Dbacks offense would struggle a ton.

And you're going to bring up the Giants offense? Some Triple A teams could out hit them.

If the D-Backs are amazing Mexi, then the Tigers shouldn't be any less amazing lol.
According to your division logic at least.
