So you're telling me Verlander isn't having the greatest season ever for a pitcher and there are others right next to him? Shocked, you would think otherwise with the media coverage.

kershaw is having a better year then verlander
and Halladay is just flying completely under the radar

why doesnt he get MVP talk the way Verlander is?

and i know Verlander is in the AL, but that doesnt matter as much as you think
Indians, WSox and Twins still have shitty offenses
and the royals are pretty good, but they're still uber young

It was more-so saying the only reason we are good is because we beat up on a shitty division.

I could care less bout the JV discussion. I think he is the best pitcher in baseball right now, and multiple people have agreed on here. Did I not say yesterday that Kershaw deserves the NL Cy-Young. Just cause the media has their opinions doesn't mean I have the same ones.

It's not the only reason the Tigers are good but it's pretty evident that most of their success has come against the AL Central, which is a bad division.

Our record vs. the AL East is just about the same as those of the Yankees & Red Sox against the Central. Only problem with us is we have played poorly against the West.
Got to remember we also started slow this year.

And the Central isn't all that bad. Teams like the White Sox have no reason to suck, they have the players to be a great team, they just aren't hitting the ball the way they should. Twins got unlucky with the injuries, and the Indians were a good team until recently. Royals also hit the ball pretty well.

They are 46-21 against the AL Central.. That's great that they are, you're suppose to go out and beat your division, but it doesn't bold well for the playoffs when you are just a .500 team against everyone else. Which is why I don't think they make the world series, so I don't see how thats Tiger Hate.

Indians offense really isnt that great either. lots of injuries. they stayed in the race so long because of their pitching

ROyals can hit, sure, but still uber young. susceptible to lay an egg facing top notch pitching

We also haven't played the Yankees and the Red Sox in the 2nd half of the season. Which is obviously when we started to gel much more as a team. Yes, we haven't played that many good teams, but it is clear that we are a better team now then we were in the first half of the season.

With HFA, I see no reason we can't beat Boston in a series. And from there, who knows what can happen.
It's not like I myself, ever said we would make the World Series.

You were talking about the Tigers and potentially being in the World Series and I threw out that it probably doesn't matter. Probably would have said the same thing to any non Phillies fan who was talking about going to the World Series from the NL side.

Yet they play in a division which is basically the NL's AL Central.
