He was UNTOUCHED in the Bengals preseason game, they had no pass rush and the Lions stayed in Shotgun to make sure he wasn't touched.. doesn't seem like alot of faith in him to stay healthy.
Why risk your starting QB's health in the first preseason game when you know he has a chance to get re-injured?

You're making more of what I actually said.. I was saying that about the Fans on a different forum who were saying Stafford is top 10 after his play in the preseason game.

Ok. Yeah I wouldn't say he is top 10, but he is in the top half of QB's in the league in my professional opinion

Not yet.

Stafford is 15-20 still IMO.

Been in the league since 07... how much time does he need? lol
You never stop growing professionally, and you see the growth from Calvin over all his years in the league. Right now I have him as the 3rd receiver behind the obviously top two.

In my opinion his main problem is consistency. He would go off one game, then just disappear the next. Consistency is a problem that you can fix with time and experience. So over the next couple of years he could reach Fitz/Andre's level, he has the athletic tools to do it.

Still doesn't make him = to them.

Andre and Fitz have been monsters since they entered this league.

If you gotta wait for a WR to fully develop just to reach where they are now... then hes not as good.

Fitzgerald has an amazing track record in the playoffs, making amazing clutch plays. Havent seen that from Andre yet, when was the last time the Texans played a meaningful game? EXACTLY. Until Andre can show us what he can do in the playoffs, Im going with Fitz.

So because of that I have Fitz>Andre>Calvin

So because they progressed faster makes them better players?

Cris Carter said last week that Calvin Johnson isn’t one of the NFL’s elite receivers, then backtracked when called on it.

Carter’s comments had some Lions fans riled up, but Johnson himself isn’t worried about it.

“I don’t really care,” Johnson said. “I don’t really listen. I didn’t even know what happened until one of the guys told me the other day. I have my remarks, but I’m going to keep that to myself.”

Johnson declined to get into his own rankings of the top receivers in the league, but he did take issue with one thing Carter said: Carter claims that Johnson gets shut down by single coverage, and Johnson says that’s news to him.

“I wish,” Johnson said. “I wish I could get single coverage every game. That’d be fantastic.”
