I wouldn't even debate against that lol, Tigers are a bunch of punks sometimes.
IDC though, they are interesting lol.

I completely understand Weaver's actions. As a pitcher, you don't let anyone show you up. What do you think would of happened if Weaver struck out the side and then hopped off sideways looking(and taunting) towards the Detroit bench? The guy leading off for the Angels would've got plunked(or thrown at) Weaver mis-interpreted the Cabrera homerrun, and then Guillen just wanted to get to him, and is that really needed?

Oh well, the Reds made no moves at the break. Seriously SMH. Get rid of one of our catching prospects, jesus.

Really important series against the Red Sox.. 4 gamer, could be dreadful. At least we don't have to face Lester.

edit: never mind, we do face him, unless Bedard is taking that start on Thursday.

Nobody has the right to try and plunk someone in the head. I understand what Guillen did and it was not a good move but hitting someone in the head is not cool.

Weaver threw it considerably higher then Avila's head. Didn't think he intended to hit him, just wanted to make a point I guess.

He tried hitting him and it failed, thankfully. I'm pretty sure his intentions weren't to miss on purpose, that's a pretty hard & risky thing to do either way. His intention was to get payback and thankfully he missed, he can say he didn't mean to do it but that's complete BS.

He's one of the most accurate pitchers in the MLB.. Don't think he missed. If he wanted to hit Avila in the head, he would have.

Send what message? I already get the message, he's a baby. Sure, what Guillen did was over the line and wasn't necessary but he was sticking up for his teammate (Ordonez). That "message" got him ejected out of a close game. Right or Wrong, I don't care, I'm over it and I'm sure they will be as well. Just seen both teams showing some emotion. What happens if he screwed up "trying to send a message" by nailing him in the head, that's pretty risky at 100 MPH if you ask me.

He's a baby for retaliating? And he doesn't throw 100 mph, he tops out at like 91-92..

lol oh, he only throws it 92 MPH, close enough. He was pissed off at Ordonez for what he did, when he always does what he did, that's what set him off, over something stupid that Ordonez had no intent in any harm. I'm not saying what Guillen did was right, but Weaver started it over his little tantrum. Throwing '92' MPH aiming close to somebody's head regardless is risky.

Why do the Red Sox keep pitching to Asdrubal? I think he has 4 homers against them in 7 games.

Anyway, don't remember the last time we scored at least 9 runs in a game.. Kipnis with 3 hits and a homer. Need him to hit.

i'll give you Weaver's mentality

1. Maggs was showboating. It wasnt even that close to the pole, clearly a HR. hurry and run the bases. (he was extra pissed because JV was dealing and he doesnt want to lose to especially him because in his mind, that could be the difference in CY votes)

2. ok Guillen. fuck you.

3. fuck you ump. why are you warning me for?

4. idgaf. here's some high heat to avila's head. dont fuck with me tigers

it's ok dude. it's baseball
he HAD to retaliate for what Guillen did. he wasnt aiming at Avila's head. and even Avila knew it was coming. he didnt get pissed at all. props to him btw. i would have gone NUTS
