Cleveland: The Indians continue to talk to Dodgers about starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda, according to The Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes. Kuroda has a full no-trade clause, but the ongoing talks are an indication the Indians have pressed the issue of him waving his no-trade rights, Hoynes suggests. The Indians' pitching staff averages just under 27 (26.957) years old, according to Elias Sports Bureau. The Royals are the only major league team with younger pitching (26.548 average). The Indians top starters are Josh Tomlin and Justin Masterson, both 26. Kuroda, 36, has a 3.52 ERA in 3 ½ big-league seasons and is a proven big-game pitcher.

Apparently the Indians offered to take on the rest of Beltran's contract and give the Mets a good player, but he isn't willing to waive his no trade clause smh

I wouldn't waive mine to go to Cleveland either, especially when the Phils, Braves, Giants, and Rangers are intersted in you.

And CC is absolutely dealing tonight. Perfect through 5 with 10 strikeouts.

Yanks up 2-0, Grandy got his 28th homer and now Eric Chavez with the RBI single.

A contender is a contender.. If the Indians make the playoffs anything can happen.

Technically they're major league hitters but they're more of an AAA squad.

Verlander gave up a HR to Adam Dunn. Wonderful.

Just realized just how dominant CC has been this month. 0.84 ERA, he's given up 3 runs this month

Verlander has given up more than that in two separate starts this month :p
