Why would your lead over the Indians matter if you have said they aren't a threat?

Nice win today. Porcello on a 4 game win streak, and our 3rd pitcher with at least 10 wins. Betemit with his 1st RBI as a Tiger as well.

If CoCo gets in the game, chances are he'll blow it....just seems like one of those days.

Duane Below with his 2nd start tonight. He looked good in the 1st one. Hopefully that carries over. Verlander & Scherzer for Games 2 & 3. So, I like our chances of winning this series.

Going to the Reds-Mets game Wednesday. Pretty excited, sitting 15 rows back from the Mets dugout, they are noice seats though.

just checked pitching matchup

Arroyo vs. Pelfrey.

I've litteraly seen Arroyo pitch 3 times in 2 years

That'd be fun. Never seen the Reds, but I've had that happen to me before. I've gone to 2 Tigers games the last 2 years and both times it was Scherzer.

Before Pettitte retired I always seemed to end up going to games when he was starting. I've seen him pitch live at least 10 times lol

Same thing with me and Fausto.. Seemingly every time I go to a game, he pitches.

They aren't that bad of pitchers. Arroyo has nothing exciting about him. A 88 MPH fastball and nothing like a sweeping curve knuckle, etc. Fausto has a pretty good fastball(IIRC) and so does Scherzer(IIRC) Pettite is a good pitcher too. Arroyo is just old and washed up.

Below isn't bad by any means but I just don't think he's ready yet, I can't see being able to count on him to help win the division this year, I think it's time to sign somebody. Like I said, he has not been terrible by any means, I just don't think he's completely ready. Meanwhile, Ruffin isn't doing himself any justice tonight with his performance for a first night.
