cause AGon wasn't putting these numbers up the Padres...where he didn't have "the best teammates"
Look what happened to his numbers when he went to a great team.. It's clearly helping him.

Bautista is having a better year then Adrian Gonzalez with everything put into perspective.. First half MVP.

Only thing that puts A-Gon over Jose Bats is that he's on a winning team.

Slugging like 120 points more than Gonz
OPS is 160 points higher!
All he does is hit homers! lol No shit his slugging is that much higher...which would explain the way higher OPS.

But being on a winning team doesn't make someone more 'valuable'.
That's true, but I'm sure that's what takes an MVP into consideration a lot of the time as most MVP players are from teams that are from playoff teams. At least from the past 4 years:

Minnesota, Texas, Boston, NYY.

I already know that Jose Bautista probably wont win the MVP because most of the voters have it hard pressed in their mind that the MVP must come from a playoff team, which is flawed logic.

That's not true when his OBP is the highest in the league. He is very very patient at the plate this year.

I'm not even saying Bautista shouldn't be MVP.

Kemp and Reyes are the top 2 imo. I think Lance Berkman makes a great case as well. Leads the Cardinals in every major offensive category. Prince/Braun kind of cancel each other out.

i think they're getting better
i dont think Felix wins the CY in 2005

Joe Mauer won MVP without 100 rbi too

i think Adrian Gonzalez doesnt really care about the derby
Cano, meh
Papi cares probably
Bautista might destroy it

Kemp's gonna try really hard
Prince will half ass it imo
Weeks is meh. good power, but idk about a derby
and holiday is the same as Adrian imo

so Kemp vs Bautista
who wins? idk. i'll be a homer and say Kemp

Joe Mauer was a pretty easy pick. He missed all of April so you have to assume he goes way over 100 RBIs if he only played half of April. If the Twins miss the playoffs, Teixeira or Jeter would have won MVP.

Kemp is more of the all-around player with his speed but I easily give this to Joey Bats. 7 more homeruns, a bit better avg, 3 less RBIs, 17 more runs, but Kemp has him with speed. Joey also beats him with about 60 points in OBP, and by over 100 in SLG, and OPS. You can't give it to Kemp.
