Jordan Walden shouldn't be in your discussion. He replaced another reliever. They aren't going to just take a bunch of starters with them.
David Robertson replaced David Price, so I don't see how that matters.Jordan Walden shouldn't be in your discussion. He replaced another reliever. They aren't going to just take a bunch of starters with them.
Biggio was never a superstar in this league like Jeter has been thoughehhhh
Craig Biggio getting 3000 wasnt that big a deal
he got coverage, but not like Jeter
not saying he should, just saying
Like with Jeter, A-Rod was a superstar though. While Thome was always a great power hitter, he was never really a legit superstar like A-RodIts just the Yankees coverage really.. When Alex Rodriguez was going for his 600th homer, everyone was talking about it, huge news and ESPN showed every bat he had while he was stuck on 599. Eventually I think they stopped showing every at-bat because it took him forever, but still. All of that for an admitted steroid user.
Anyway, when Jim Thome is stuck on 599, he will not have close to the media coverage that A-Rod had, and this is for a guy who was has never been linked to steroids, and has been pretty much a model citizen with no controversy.
Side note: I hope he hits 600 in Cleveland, for which ever team he is on.
They want to rest up for a few days considering they're both coming off injuries, I don't see the big deal.ARod's hurt. I get it
But Jeter is obviously fine. 5-5 today, hits in every game since he came back i think. playing his position well (for him anyways)
and mariano got the save today. they're both fine
Bullshit that they're not in the all-star game. absolute crock. how can MLB let them play these regular games but not in the ASG if they're obviously healthy enough? if they cant play in the ASG, they shouldnt have been playing the past few games at least
i just think it's not right
We don't need a RF...He wishes he had waited another year to sign an extension lol
But really, thank god he didn't hit the open market. The Yankees need a RF.
truecause AGon wasn't putting these numbers up the Padres...where he didn't have "the best teammates"
