Weren't they suppose to deal Edwin for Adam Dunn right after the deal but Washington backed out? And now they have both, and both suck lmao. Can't believe they made that Hudson/Edwin deal though. What a steal for Arizona.

I wish that Carrasco was pitching against the Giants on Sunday Night Baseball coming up, instead we're going to get embarrassed with Fausto on the mound. Bad feeling about this series with them. Dominant pitching, our lack of hitting for the past month. Spells trouble.

LaPorta is hurt, that's why he's not playing and Santana has been getting the bulk of the playing time at first because we have no other true first baseman and Lou Marson is a really good defensive catcher but yea, LaPorta looks terrible and we don't have any good first base prospects coming up so I doubt the Indians give up on him.

Kinda funny how the best prospect you got wasn't from trading V-Mart, CC, or Lee, it was from trading Casey Blake

We traded Ben Broussard for Choo, and Eduardo Perez for Asdrubal Cabrera. Both from the Mariners, within a 2 week span lol. Mark DeRosa for Chris Perez. We usually get the best of teams in trades, drafting, not so much until recently.

But yea, Dodgers, do not know what they were thinking. It's not like he was a bum prospect when they dealt him to us either. He was having a nice year in the minors.

That was too little for Cleveland


Santana and the 2M for Blake wasnt enough either
so the Dodgers gave them both and had Cleveland eat Casey's salary

Russell Martin was coming off a great 2 years, including just being named an all-star

in hindsight, it's a bad trade no doubt. im ok with them trading him, i just wish it was for someone like Halladay or Lee :/

the only good thing he's done was the Milton Bradley for Andre Ethier heist

Even if you had Russell Martin, you don't trade potential franchise catchers for an average 3rd baseman.. Could have easily converted Santana to first.

remember, Russell was a star back then and still young
and in only 96 games in 2007, Loney was very very good. looked like he would only grow
and his first half of 2008 was very solid as well. they were going to ride it out with him. looked like a definite promising future. scouts looked at him in the same mold as Joey Votto
