That's game. JV put up a 2 hitter, with 12 k's and now the Tigers are in sole possession of 1st place. Yeah buddy!

Shutout 6 times in our last 16 games or something like that.. Fuck Manny Acta and his loyalty to scrub veterans.

Mets win, once again 1 game below .500. Mets are now in 3rd place cuz the Marlins are just falling out of the sky. Game is significant cuz it was against the Braves vs. Jair Jurrjens who is 8-3 with a 2.13 ERA. So a big win for this team for once, great job.

Travis Hafner had his first rehab start tonight.. We really need him back.

We average 5.3 runs a game with him in the lineup, 3.0 without him.. Very telling stat, although I'm not sure he can fix our problems alone.

sigh
maybe next year for the Dodgers

at least Dee Gordon is fun to watch. wow he's so fast
he's got that dangerous speed that makes everyone on defense speed up and risk for error skyrockets

really fun to watch. and wow, what a glove

First place feels nice :)
JV pitched a fucking epic game tonight.
IMO the only thing that would stop us from winning the division, would be Chicago heating up even more so than they already have.

Santana smacks a ball 400 feet foul, very next pitch hits into a double play.. Why do I even bother watching this team.

Ehh Brad Penny isn't anything spectacular. Seems like he's all over the place most of the time. He's been decent this year, I'm not a big fan of his.

We were the team that gave JoJo Reyes his first win in over 500 years and had Freddy Garcia fooling our hitters..

Beckett goes the distance, and pitches a one hit shutout. He's having a terrific year.

As much shit as I give the Indians lineup, I don't give our bullpen enough credit (well maybe I do lol). The game is pretty much over if we have the lead after 5 innings.
Rafael Perez (1.32 ERA)
Tony Sipp (2.22 ERA)
Vinnie Pestano (1.52 ERA)
Joe Smith (1.35 ERA)
Chris Perez (2.49 ERA)

We have a couple of bums in Frank Herrmann and Chad Durbin but they are mop up guys and could easily be replaced by a guy like Nick Hagadone, who is a power lefty in Triple A with dominant stuff.

I miss Joe Smith a lot....

On a side note, Mets up 4-0 on the Braves. If we win, we are at .500 which is really good. Considering we dont have Wright, Davis, Santana, and Bay has been awful. Thats actually very good. We need to keep it up though until we get those guys back.

Mets have been doing well lately, which is impressive especially without David Wright & Ike Davis.
