He doesn't think Howard is going to sign the extension because Howard wants to wait until after the season is over to make up his mind. He wants to see the team get better.
And how exactly are they going to do that?

you cant ever count a team like the celtics and lkers out either, due to the history the teams have. with the celtics having the money to spend and a lottery pick. plus rondo. theyll be back IF they even slip.

Trading lmfao.
The Magic have NO assets to trade. They have so many bad contracts, it looks the Isiah-Knicks reincarnated. The only difference is that the Magic have ONE respectable player.

For some real lulz:

You act like it's impossible to trade bad salaries.

Watch for a power move this off-season. I think we might go after Dwight.....
I actually think this is the most logical move for the Celtics. Garnett and Allen are expiring contracts next year, and instead of trying to trade them for talent as teams have recently, Boston is going to let them run out to give them cap space for the '12 FA class with Paul, Howard and Williams among others. This also gives the Big Three one last shot at competing for a championship, which is all the time I think they have left in the tank anyway.

I feel bad for the Celtics current situation, Idk whether they should blow it up or give it another go with the squad they have

Well they do have Rondo and Green. That could be two nice pieces to start a franchise with, if Green decides to return.

Wow I'm not sure if you guys knew this but I just found this out

When we did the trade, we got the Clippers 2012 1st (gotten for Eric Bledsoe)

Now back in 2005, the TWolves traded Cassell and a protected 1st for shit value

The pick was top 10 protected up to 2012.

So, the Celtics actually get the lower pick of the Clippers and Timberwolves next year.

Sullinger/ Barnes + Green for Perkins is actually really good

Wait, I can't find anything that says Boston got the Clippers pick.

I hope Rondo is enough for them to build off of for their future

Rondo is definitely a great piece to build with. If he could just develop a mid-range game at the very least he'd be so lethal.

http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2011/2/24/2013222/kendrick-perkins-trade-celtics-thunder-first-round-pick

The Boston Celtics will receive another asset in the trade that sends Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic. They will also receive a 2012 first-round pick from the Thunder that was initially acquired from the Clippers, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

The pick is Top-10 protected, and will be the lower pick from either the Clippers or the Minnesota Timberwolves in that draft. The Clippers initially acquired the pick in a 2005 trade for Sam Cassell. The Thunder acquired the pick from the Clippers last year in exchange for the No. 18 pick in the 2010 draft. The Clippers used that pick on Eric Bledsoe
what i bolded is partially incorrect. The Celtics get the lower of the Clippers and Timberwolves pick. The Clippers pick is 2012 protected, the Wolves is 2012 unprotected. The Clippers pick is 2013 unprotected.

If the Clippers get a better value pick than MIN, Boston gets the Wolves pick.
OR
If the Wolves get a better value pick than LAC, yet the Clippers are still in the top 10, they keep their 2012 pick and we get the unprotected 2013 1st.
OR
If the If the Wolves get a better value pick than LAC, and the Clippers are not in the top 10, the Celts get the Clippers pick.

I want the 1st scenario, because that means we technically could land the #2 overall pick

Boston will be back in the cellar by 2013, count on it.
