Why is Blake in over Kevin Love? Love is clearly having a better year

blake has star power
and it's not like Love TROUNCES him.
23/13/4/51% is damn impressive as a first year player

Love averages about 2.5 more boards and is a better FT shooter and 3pt shooter. he's not clearly better
and wins have something to do with it and the Clippers since their 1-14 start have been pretty good

Well I know why he is in, it was a rhetorical question... He has more dunks then Love so of course he is in.

it's not just that
it's true. i'd rather see highfly act in the game as opposed to kevin love who'll do the dirty work. it is an all-star game after all

but even the numbers. they're pretty even

23/13/4/51% for blake
20/15.5/3/47% for love
love is the better FT/3 shooter, but who cares

clips are winning

i still think love deserves it, and he'll get in so no big

you just said Love is "clearly" having a better year and thats no the case. being a rookie = extra points as well. game in in L.A.
but even if the game was in Toronto, Blake deserves it more

Only reason everybody is on his dick is because he's a freak athlete.

Say if he played like a slightly less skilled duncan...it would be okay for love to be in over him. But because SC shoves him down everybodies throat....its cool

I don't see how the Clippers are 'winning'. They have 19 wins... 19 wins is 19 wins. Both teams suck. They're pretty even in scoring, Love is over 21 ppg, not at 20, but Love is a better rebounder, right around 16 to 13 is a big difference. Love is a better passer but it isn't shown on the stats, better shooter. Only thing Blake is better at, is jumping.

And if you're talking winning games, Aldridge should be in over both, because he's the only reason Portland is over .500.

This should be a headline for truth.com.

ESPN doesn't provide news anymore. It's all about hype and propaganda nowadays.

What about Gilbert?

He's. Averaging. 23. And. 13. And. 4. Shooting. 51%. As. A. Rookie.

there is no player in the NBA putting up those numbers. They always show a stat during the clipper games, i think the only other players putting up those numbers the past 20 years and Admiral and Shaq...
actually, the only other rookies averaging 20-12: Pettit, Elgin, Wilt, Bellamy, Big E, Kareem, Admiral, Shaq
those are all legends

I cant believe we're talking about this. You guys got to stop looking so into things. He's an all-star and deserves to be there ahead of Love, bottom line

plus the damn game is in L.A.

What about Gilbert?
quit hating on the knicks
he's putting up 17/9/2 steals on a playoff team

and the blake post is above
you guys are seriously unbelievable. quit trying to hate and actually look at the numbers both face value, and historically

so he has a nice highlight reel. so what
so does every great player. Dwight, Paul, Bron, Wade, Kobe, Rondo, Rose, Durant, Westbrook, Manu, etc

I really dont understand the Blake hate.
clippers have always been sorry. dude comes in after missing a whole year, and says F it. makes the Clippers actually relevant and a tough out for every team. re-energized lazy ass Baron, hustles every single play. dont understand you guys

Im not so sure Felton should be in over Ray.

they have similar PPG, yet Felton had more assists.

Yet, Felton has so much more touches than Allen. Felton is the number 2 option in NYK, Ray is number 3-4 at times.

Allen is shooting .508% from the field (FG), and .458 from 3.
Felton is shoting .419%, with .331 from 3.

Just statistically, if you do it, if Ray Allen had as many scoring opportunities as Felton, he would be averaging 20+ easily

But yeah, this is Ray and KG's last, and hopefully Yao's too.

I feel Yao will retire this year, and he'll still be voted in :/

No player is averaging 21/15+ either. Kevin Love isn't a rookie, oh man that means he should not be in...

They show his stuff during Clipper games because all Sportscenter is, is praising LeBron/Heat, ripping the Cavs, and showing a Blake highlight.

You want him in because he's all the sudden your favorite player...

Nine of the twelve East Allstars are from only three teams. Seven of the twelve for only two teams. What does that say about the state of the NBA right now? How is it possible that Kevin Love isn't a Allstar, but Steve Nash, Tim Duncan, Ray Allen, or Kevin Garnett is? Love is averaging 21 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists. Garnett is averaging 15, 9, and 2. I know they are in different conferences, but that's beside the point. The league is so screwed up it's not funny.

The NBA is the second best spectator sport behind the NFL, but if something is not done to fix all the problems with the league in the next CBA, it will not last another 10 years before all the small market teams file for bankruptcy and fold. Then Stern will be looking at a six team league, which he'll probably be fine with. Ass.

All-Star game selections simply should not cause that kind of discussions, but obviously they do. Every damn year.
If anything, the voting system of the starters should be overhauled (Melo and obviously Yao in the starting 5 is a joke) and the reserves - well you would think that coaches pick the right guys.

But no matter what, it shouldn't be that important. Over the yeas there have been dozens of players being snubbed of a spot, and dozens of players who have been in there undeservingly.

And yes, Kevin Love is having the better season and you would think the coaches give him the nod over a rookie, but even me would prefer a freakishly Blake Griffin in the All-Star game. After all it's a game without any revelance and only exists for entertainment purposes.

Not really. MLB and the NFL are tops in that category. I agree with everything else though.

There is no mark beside Yao's name indicating that he will not play.

WTF??!
that is exactly why the voting system needs to be redone.

As for the snubs, KLove is easily the biggest snub in all of this. I feel really bad for that guy, because he is having a remarkable season. Should definitely be a reserve if not starting, imo.

Felton, eh, I'm not 100% sure. I mean you're talkin to one of the big Knicks fans on this site and I can tell you this, I view Felton as maybe the 10th best PG in the league right now -- so to say he got snubbed is a little confusing.

I'll take your word for it, I'm not a baseball fan at all. I was just thinking of all the highlights I see on ESPN and there are barely 15 people in the stands lol
