Nope, you were right the first time. NBA is above the MLB.

NBA is above the MLB, you were right, as cheato said.

A lot of people watch the Home Run Derby, but not as many watch the All Star Game.

NBA draws in more interest because I provides so much more. You got you're (dont know why they do this) Horse game outside, you got the Skills Competition, Slam Dunk Competition, 3pt Competition. The whole weekend really draws in better ratings, I believe.

No player is averaging 21/15+ either. Kevin Love isn't a rookie, oh man that means he should not be in...

They show his stuff during Clipper games because all Sportscenter is, is praising LeBron/Heat, ripping the Cavs, and showing a Blake highlight.

You want him in because he's all the sudden your favorite player...
records matter
clipper have a better record

i already posted the numbers
love has a few more rebounds on him, but blake still gets 13. 13 is excellent. it's not like LOve is getting 16 and Blake 8
and love has the better FT% and 3%, but Blake doesnt shoot 3's
throw in the fact he's a "rookie" doing this, and the game is in L.A., I can't believe we're talking about this

im not talking about aldridge either. he's having a great year and should probably be here too, but Blake's having the better year

They're both bad teams.. Don't really have to put record into this, considering again, they both suck.

13 is excellent, but 16 is amazing.

and yes Blake doesn't shoot 3s, because he can't hit them, while Love is very good, another facet of his game that he has over Blake. And I don't see how being a rookie, or the game being in LA matters.. It doesn't mean jack..

Aldridge should be in over Duncan clearly, and then Love over Blake.

wow, you have to be kidding me
Love over Blake? after everything I just posted

Love doesnt play with an athletic Center who is also a pretty solid rebounder like Blake with DeAndre Jordan. DJ averaging 8 boards as a starter, Darko cant rebound, you know that. he's there because he's tall, and can altar shots

look at them head to head
Blake: 26/12/5
Love: 21/12/3

thats pretty much their seasons too. close, but Blake is a little better overall
3 rebounds is marginal, and thats all love has on him. that doesnt mean he should be in over him. thats dumb
Love is a better 3 shooter, but guess who has the higher FG%?

coaches vote. they obviously agree. they're the ones watching the games

Who cares if he doesn't play with an athletic center? Even Dwight Howard, who doesn't even have a back up center, doesn't pull down 16 rebounds a game. 3 rebounds is a bigger difference, then Blake's point differential of 2. Love is a better passer, but isn't shown in the stats because he can't really get assists, unlike Blake who can throw it to a knock down shooter in Gordon for easy assists.

Yep, the coaches know what they're doing, shown by them voting Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen on the east side, and Tim Duncan on the west side. All 3 are all-time greats, but should be no where near an all-star game this year.

disagree, Ray should be there
the east sucks. who gets in ahead of KG?
he and Josh Smith are having the same season pretty much
and Boozer missed 20 games

Duncan is still the Spurs best player, and they have to have 2 all-stars with that absurd record. duncan is putting up great numbers playing under 30 minutes a game

blake's dunks help him i'm sure
but he's not just a dunk show. he deserves to be there over love
but i think love should be there too

Danny Granger over Ray Allen seems like a no brainer to me.

and Josh Smith over KG, yes. KG has missed around 10 games, which is a good chunk, and Smith beats him in points and blocks, while being tied in rebounds.

Duncan is getting 13/9, he shouldn't be sniffing an all-star game, this isn't a career award.

The Western Conference team has six "bigs."

The problem starts with Kevin Durant being named the Western Conference starting PF. Durant is a SF, not a PF, and he has no business playing that spot.

Now the "bigs" are as follows:

Durant
Ming
Nowitzki
Gasol
Duncan
Griffin

Lets get this out of the way first, Duncan is a good player, future HOF, but he doesn't deserve to be on the team this year. Second problem, Yao Ming shouldn't have sniffed the game. As a starter or reserve.

So there's three issues we have already. Guys playing out of position, undeserving players, and injured players being named to the team. I can probably keep going all day.

IMO, the team should look something like this:

Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
Blake Griffin/Kevin Love
Pau Gasol

Deron Williams
Manu Ginobli
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Love/Blake Griffin
*Center*

Now you have what I would call the "wildcards." Those guys would be Westbrook and Dirk. Maybe Dirk could play center, and then you could bring in another deserving player.

Oh, and if Nash is Yao's replacement, that's dumb.

A PG replacing a C? Why have 4 PG's?

David Stern is a dumbass.

Who really does?

All-star games don't mean jack, with MLB's being the exception.

I think it's more of the fact that NBA coaches are just like you and me. They have their favorite players, and they have players they hate.
