im just saying bleacher

KG in 04 put up 24/13/5 and won MVP
Blake is doing that right now as a rookie. he;s only getting better
i still believe if it's between a talented big and a talented guard, take the big. there are more good guards than good bigs

Kevin Garnett was also one of the best defensive players in the NBA back then, had two other players scoring a significant amount of points, and the Wolves won 58 games.

Completely different circumstances.

but hes got a point in terms of position. you take the big. the league ahs so many talented guards. you need dominating bigs to win.

blake is a rookie and he does need to get better defensively, so does Rose, but they both will

You're just way better off with Kevin Durant or LeBron James than you are with Blake Griffin. I don't think you could justify taking Blake over them for one season or starting a franchise. They both impact the game so much more than Blake does.

None of the players mentioned in this thread have won anything either. Rose hasn't won, Blake hasn't won, Durant hasn't won, Dwight hasn't won.

LeBron did the most he could possibly do with the talent on that team. If he could have gotten a Pau Gasol, they would have won it all. I guarantee it.

I don't think how many games he's played means crap. LeBron is one of the toughest players I think. He is constantly drawing contact, every single game. He is tough as beans. Who cares if he's played a ton of games??? I don't think that will slow him down 1 bit.

I dont believe in the big theory...seen it backfire too many times.

Didn't we all learn from Oden/Durant situation

Lol @ comparing Griffin to KG. Griffin will never touch KG. What KG brought to the game will probably never be seen again and it's 100% sure Griffin won't.

Anyways, I'd pick a big man. There are barely any dominant big men anymore and who is there really that can compete with Dwight both offensively and defensively? No one. Dwight is the best big man in the game and after him, it's a crapshoot. Put Dwight with a solid point guard and a good 3 pointing-shooting SF and you got yourself a good team. Build up the bench over the years via draft and FA and by the time Dwight is around 27-28, you got yourself a contender.

That may be a little biased there uwp, KG was a great player, one of the best PFs for sure, but Timmy D was right there with him putting up just as many points and rebounds and was just as good defensively in their prime.

Not only will we see more PF's like him but there will be a few that will be better.
