Maurice Jones-Drew will undergo arthroscopic surgery Wednesday to repair meniscus damage in his right knee.

Jones-Drew suffered the injury this preseason, so credit him for gutting out a productive 14 games. Although he was told by team doctors his knee may not hold up, MJD played until long-term damage became a legitimate concern. He should be fine by 2011 training camp. Rashad Jennings will start at halfback in Week 17, and makes a fine RB2 against the woeful Texans.

No doubt in my mind he would of won the rushing title if he was healthy. A torn meniscus is normally a season ending injury. He was behind Arian Foster by like 35 yards after his last game. Anybody who questions his toughness or questions hes not a big time back can kiss the baby. Hes a BEAST.

As did the Jaguars, his knee was basically done by time the 2nd Indy game came around, and its obvious thats what happend and def played a part in the Jags losing, without MJD.. We are a 2-14 team. He truly is a MVP.

Agreed, the whole time I thought he was on the injury report was because they were resting him.

I was stunned when I heard about the Torn Meniscus. Jack Youngblood would applaud MJD right now since he played in a game with a broken leg :D.

Haha, and then the two-headed beast came out when Rashad Jennings played in a few of those games. I'm pretty sure that they both had 100+ yards one game no?

Yes sir, against Oakland.

Jennings also looked good yesterday vs Houston. A sleeper to keep a eye on next year though is Deji Karim. Maurice Jones-Drew called the Arian Foster breakout before the season, and he called Karim the next Jammaal Charles.. Deji had like 7.0 YPC vs Houston yesterday on limited carries and looked pretty good. Hopefully he gets more playing time next year.

I thought he was the back-up, so I picked him up as a handcuff for MJD like, week 4. Then the guy I was playing in the Championship picked up Jennings when he found out that MJD was hurt. I was like, dude, wtf.
