Yeah he'll probably be a Hornet until the trade deadline, NO is smart by waiting this out seeing what/who they could get for him

on the other hand I know this means they arent too thrilled about our offer (if we've made one) which isnt what any Knicks fan wants to hear, but alot could change between now and feburary.

ESPN just reported that Paul said the meeting went well. And he hopes to remain a Hornet for "many years to come."

Thats nice and all, but now they have to go out and get the players/pieces to get him to stay.

They have 2 years to do it

Yeah, plus I don't see Melo wanting to go to NO over NY...and I don't see any other stars coming that would keep Paul there.

Cp3 from his twitter:

“The meeting went well. It was great to get an opportunity to sit down with Coach Williams, President Weber and our new General Manager Dell Demps. I expressed my desire to win and I like what they said about the direction that they want to take the team. I have been a Hornet my entire career and I hope to represent the city of New Orleans and state of Louisiana for many years to come.”

Honestly it could be a ploy.

Since the Hornets dont have to trade him to any of his mentioned teams, and their wanting to also shed Okafor's contract he may have figured he mind as well suck it up these next 2 years, opt out.

Give us room to sign Melo next season, then when Felton, Turiaf, etc come off the books sign Paul.

I know yall hate us Knick fans and our scenarios, but get used to it, youve got 2 more years of hearing them.

And what happens if Melo signs his extension? These free agent scenarios are stupid.. Its a long time away, and one small thing that happens could derail all of it.

What? So is Paul asking to be traded within the West to start a rivalry with the Hornets or something?
no. bron wants him to start a "super team" in the west so they can feud with the heat.

There are alot of if's.

Your right, nobody knows what will happen, we'll all have to wait and see what happens.

BUT until then everyone should have the right to present scenarios that they may favor or favor their team, its not like Im drawing this sht up from anywhere, my team has been mentioned in earlier reports, so Im going to talk about ways we an get him.... whats the fun in just waiting and not presenting our scenarios on the forum?

Thats what we have SI for.

What if Melo doesnt sign the extension? I can play that game too lol

If people keep guessing, someone is bound to get it right sooner or later.

No disrespect....

but the Lebron leaving scenario did

The Bosh/Wade scenario happened

And the new Big 3 in Miami happened

Its fun to make up your own scenario's, if they happen it makes it even more fun. Dont try to kill my fun cheato.

And everyone hated yall Detroit scenario's, not many people like to hear scenarios of other teams getting allstar caliber players, thats how it is.

But just like you said then, you dont have to read em, just ignore em.

Plus I can really see Melo returning to NY, he is a huge fan favorite over there especially with the Syracuse crowd.
