Yes, this may be the best opportunity to chase a ring Lebron will ever get. Wait too long and it might end up being too late. Wasn't it Kevin Garnett that said something about, "...loyalty means nothing when it comes to getting yourself a championship ring..."?

Sounds like something he'd say haha. But it's true in my books.

So you're saying its okay to chase a ring when you're in your 30's...but not in you're mid-20's? The guy has been in the league for 7 years, has already accomplished individual greatness, and is constantly compared to fellow greats that have the rings on their fingers. I don't see you're point.

And I don't see why you're criticizing the guy so much for not bringing in a chip to his own hometown. Jordan is a Carolina boy, Kobe is from North Philly...any rings brought into Charlotte or Philadelphia from either??

He's not a superstar. Point blank......we're not playing the if game right. Superstars guarantee a average of around 45-50 wins, sell tickets, and be the best player on a contending finals team. He's a all-star yeah but thats not saying much since BJ armstrong was once a all-star. Look im not a bosh hater but he's not a superstar. There's probably only around 5-6 superstars in the league at max.

Boils down to what you view as a superstar. My definition isn't nearly as high as yours.

I blame Charlotte for never winning a title because of the Kobe trade they made with the lakers for Vlade Divac. What ever happen to ol Vlad.

Anyway, I agree with this, he shouldn't be criticized for wanting to win a title. I also agree he might win titles in Miami, but the main concern is..are those titles going to mean anything when you win it with D-Wade and CB. Chris was saying how it might be more meaningful if he won 1 with the Cavs than if he wins 4 with the heat. I don't really know what to say about all this, but to say good luck LBJ with whatever happens.

I was just watching the video of Cavs fans torching LBJ jerseys, t-shirts, shoes, etc.. and I can say I hope LBJ has a great amount of security with him and he better move to Miami fast! Lol This did remind me of when the Laker fans torched the poor taxi after they won the title. Who knew people could get that passionate about sports.

Once again I value Loyalty and don't fold on the people that have been there for me. I'm just saying none of the other greats pulled this so LeBron is not a great in my eyes. He can get his ring but he only had to betray a city and murder 2 franchises to do it.

JJ is also getting paid a dickload more than Bosh and Amare.
He might of deserved a max deal from the Knicks, but not a max deal from the Hawks. But I understand that's the only way the Hawks could of retained him, JJ is a great player.

Those who aren't Cavs' fans and are playing this whole "loyalty" card need to put themselves into check. I can think of at least 10 different examples where other players left or tried to leave hometown situations for reasons of chasing championships but why aren't any under as harsh of a microscope as Lebron is right now? What obligates Lebron to be so loyal to the state of Ohio? Why would things be so much more different if Lebron was drafted by the Sonics or Raptors back when? Lebron was the Cavs' lotto pick, he didn't choose that, the Cavs did and as far as I am concerned, the franchise should of done more than just try and guilt trip the man into staying put.

At the same time, pro teams are very quick to dump their homegrown players when they can't keep up with the salary demands or that player's skills have diminished beyond desire. Are we saying that its more acceptable for a team to dump a player than a player to find a new team? How come teams are not as heavily criticized when they cut loose a player who's done so much for the city as Lebron has done for Cleveland?

It's a bunch of bullsh*t and right now I see a lot of envy coming from fans of other teams. It's a certain envy and a fear of what WILL be happening in Miami, that is driving a lot of people to make Lebron out to be some kind of a criminal here. Well here I would have to disagree with you. Amar'e left Phoenix, can't that be seen as a "betrayal"? LeBron did what was best for him. Btw, I really don't think JJ would have stayed "loyal" to the Hawks unless that cash register didn't go off and the Hawks made it rain on him.

Which shows how big of a coward he is. It's not like a core of Rose, Noah, and Boozer with LeBron is gonna suck.
