I really think Kovalchuk is sitting around and waiting for the Rangers to make some sort of magic happen. I've read a lot of news about the guy wanting to finish out his career in New York and no, the Islanders aren't the New York he's talking about. We all know that it won't happen but you have to wonder exactly what the hell he's waiting to sign with the Devils for? SKA St. Petersburg is out, the Kings are out, the Isles never even made a formal offer, the Rangers are already in cap hell....so what Kovy?

The San Jose Sharks have signed Blackhawks restricted free agent defenceman Niklas Hjalmarsson to a free agent offer sheet, signing the defenceman to a four-year, $14 million dollar contract.

Chicago has seven days to match the offer. If the team does not match it, they will receive San Jose's first and third round picks in the 2011 NHL entry draft.

Well if they don't match the offer sheet, at least they get SJ's 2011 1st and 3rd round picks.

I don't think they've decided what there gonna go with yet. Last I knew, they had finally decided NOT to do away with the light blue alt's.
