The nominees IMO will be Boudreau, yes that idiot, Sacco, and Tippett

It'll come down to who finishes ahead in the West IMO. I'd love to see a matchup between the Yotes and the Avs in the first round so hopefully they'll keep their standings and make it happen.

I really doubt Boudreau is one of the 3 nominees. Imo it will Sacco, Tippett, and Clouston.

It'll happen since the NHL loves Boudreau and because he's coaching the NHL's best team

It's not like the award is never given to the player with the best stats and deeming him "most valuable" but I agree with wanting Miller to win it.

Don't like Ovy, love Miller.

That D in front of Miller isn't that great...the offense without Ovechkin is great

The Caps can get off almost 34 shots a game in the 10 games they've played without him...thats a huge amount in my mind especially without your superstar forward...

That team would be horrible if Ryan Miller wasn't in goal...but I'm afraid the sports writers will be bias and not see that.

This is getting ridiculous now. Stuart is checked from behind, into the boards, by Prospal and Prospal gets a 2 minute minor for boarding and someone else got a minor for roughing and coming to the defense of Stuart.

I hate boarding penalties...nothing you can really do to defend yourself and the result is usually bad

I hate boarding penalties where the victim is skating towards the boards, but so many times the victim is just standing 2 feet from the boards looking down at the puck in his feet. He's just asking for it, if you're going to battle for the puck get yourself out of such a vulnerable position.

Mark Messier was on the FAN590 a week or two ago and said if he were in charge he would be giving out penalties for guys who are getting caught with their heads down or in vulnerable positions that are easily prevented. Obviously that will probably never happen but I agree with him in the fact that if you're going to be watching the puck you probably shouldn't be playing in the NHL.

It was a hit from behind, just called a boarding. And it wasn't just the fact that Prospal only got a minor but the fact that Stuart got up and joined the scuffle, which was only pushing, and got a roughing for grabbing and pushing Rosival.

Matching penalties after that hit is bullshit

My Calder Finalists
Jimmy Howard
Matt Duchene
Tyler Myers

The Red Wings would probably be nothing without him now. He's even playing better than Luongo belive it or not.

What did he do to you lol

He's been a star for the Islanders and I don't see why he can't avoid the sophomore slump next season
He'll be a good player, no doubt but I don't like him being the other finalist for Calder. Howard just desreves it more.
