The 76ers are in talks with the Suns regarding forward Amare Stoudemire, but general manager Ed Stefanski reportedly doesn't want the All-Star alongside Elton Brand.

Philadelphia's reported offer for the Phoenix star involves Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert.

"Stefanski doesn't want Stoudemire and [Elton] Brand together," one source said.

Philadelphia hasn't been pro-active about trying to get a three-team deal going.

"A three-way would take effort on their part," one league official said, "and they haven't shown much of that yet."

We better not get another trade deadline where the best player involved in a deal that actually goes down is Rafer Alston...

Looks like we will likely see Jamison or Murphy a Cav then?
That article was BS, already has been showed to be false by the Cavaliers beat writer and others in the media. The person who wrote it is usually last to report things for Cleveland sports, seemed kind of weird that it wasn't reported anywhere else, so it was pretty much BS lol

The Knicks and Rockets have made progress on a proposed trade that would send Jared Jeffries, Jordan Hill and either Al Harrington or Larry Hughes in exchange for Tracy McGrady, Joey Dorsey and Brian Cook.

Yahoo! Sports reports that "an agreement is within reach" and that the two teams are "increasingly confident" that the trade will be completed before Thursday's deadline.

In a part of the deal described as "fluid," the Knicks might swap 2011 picks with the Rockets and/or send their 2012 pick to Houston. One of New York's 2010 second-round picks could also be sent to the Rockets.

The deal would give the Rockets young talent in exchange for McGrady, a player no longer in the team's plans, while the Knicks have a look at McGrady the rest of this season and clear approximately $9.5 million more of salary cap room for their summer free-agent pursuits. Unless the salary cap drops dramatically -- which is no longer expected -- the Knicks' ability to shed Jeffries, along with Hill, could open up the extra cap space needed to offer a second maximum contract this summer.
I hope we're able to hold on to Harrington, and send Hughes instead since we're already sending Hil who will become a very solid bigman.

We would have a better record than you guys if we weren't straight up tanking. We already beat you this year and we will do it two times more. Going after McGrady? Talk about a high risk and an unsure reward.

Theres no risk in an expiring contract that will give us more money.

And we beat you as well this season, but Im not focusing on a team that can go down as the worst ever, Im focused on what moves we're making.

Looks like the Cavs and Heat are the only two teams in the race for Amare. Heat will need to make it a 3 team deal for them to have a better offer then the Cavs apparently.

The Nuggets apparently have recently tried to make trades for DeAndre Jordan, Antonio McDyess and Ben Wallace, but were unsuccessful with each pursuit.

RealGM Note: Denver is looking for a big that can play 15-25 minutes per night and provide insurance in case they incur an injury to Nene, Kenyon Martin or Chris Andersen.

The Cavaliers are in discussions with Golden State about Corey Maggette.

The Warriors were very close to dealing Stephen Jackson to Cleveland last November before eventually agreeing to a deal with the Bobcats.

Maggette would give the Cavaliers a secondary wing scorer.

Nate Robinson would only agree to a trade if it means him ending up with the Lakers, Celtics or Magic.

With Robinson currently on a one-year contract, he has veto power over any trade.

Roger Mason's agent and the Spurs are attempting to find a trade for the veteran to have a larger role for the remainder of the 2009-10 season.

“Roger had a terrific season last year after the Spurs had a bunch of injuries, and now that everyone is back healthy and his minutes are limited, the Spurs are trying to do the right thing and find a good spot for him,” Mason’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, told Yahoo! Sports on Monday.

Travis Outlaw has told the Oregonian that his agent, Bill Duffy, informed him that a trade involving the Trail Blazers and Clippers should be completed on Tuesday.

"He said it is still being finished, but that it should go through," Outlaw said.

The rumored trade will send Marcus Camby to Portland in exchange for Outlaw, guard Steve Blake and cash. Ironically, Portland and Los Angeles will face off on Thursday night.

Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said the deal is "not done."

"I'm cool with it," Outlaw said of the trade. "It doesn't bother me. This is a business. I'll just go somewhere else and play. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the opportunity Portland gave me, but I also know it's a business."

According to a Yahoo report, Camby isn't happy with the potential trade because he doesn't want to leave Los Angeles.

Camby had hoped to re-sign with the Clippers this summer.

“He likes the Clippers, he likes the organization, he likes L.A.,” the source said. “His wife is happy in L.A. And he’s not one for change. He’s definitely not happy about this.”

It's a good deal for them, but it doesn't really put them over the top. Maybe next year with Oden back (huge question) they can do something but they don't stand much of a chance in the playoffs.
