Let's see how long that lasts. I would feel pretty safe betting he still does play.Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre reportedly told ESPN that it was "highly unlikely" he would play again.
Favre, 40, came out of his second retirement and led the Vikings to the NFC championship game this season, in the first year of a two-year, $25 million contract. But he said after the 31-28 loss Sunday night to the New Orleans Saints that he would head home to Mississippi to think about whether to retire for good.
ESPN's Adam Schefter's wrote on his Twitter page this morning: "Let this be the first of hopefully very few Favre-Watch updates: Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder it was 'highly unlikely' he'd play again.
