Allen Iverson provides a good example of a player who generated strong reaction, both positive and negative, within the corps of NBA referees. For instance, veteran referee Steve Javie hated Allen Iverson and was loathe [sic] to give him a favorable call. If Javie was on the court when Iverson was playing, I would always bet on the other team to win or at least cover the spread. No matter how many times Iverson hit the floor, he rarely saw the foul line. By contrast, referee Joe Crawford had a grandson who idolized Iverson. I once saw Crawford bring the boy out of the stands and onto the floor during warm-ups to meet the superstar. Iverson and Crawford's grandson were standing there, shaking hands, smiling, talking about all kinds of things. If Joe Crawford was on the court, I was pretty sure Iverson's team would win or at least cover the spread.

This is just horrible. Dallas is on a mission to take this game while the Lakers are letting their emotions get the best of themselves instead of staying focused.

Also I feel inclined to complain about our home crowd and ridiculous ticket prices for Lakers home games again. When the Lakers were making a little run, you hear "defense" chants and yells, but that's coming from the nosebleed seats where the real fans are. I'm tired of seeing these divas, celebrities, and pretentious snots just sitting there on the lower level not doing <Censored> to cheer on their team. Old men hiring prostitutes making them look like their girlfriends who afraid to get up and cheer because they're scared it'll mess up their botox and melt their faces. Love the Lakers, but most of our fans... I don't even know if I could call them fans. <Censored> these guys.

Jack Nicholson's the exception, he's actually animated and cares.

Please don't let another repeat of one of the most classic meltdown in NBA history where the Lakers came back from like 24 in the 4th to beat the Mavs like in 2002

This is so sad, Lakers go for a little burst at the end of the third, and zero reaction from the "fans" in the lower level, they just <Censored>ing sit there. All the chants and real fans are unseen.

It's so sad. I went to a playoff game a couple of years ago @ Staples and it's so <Censored>ing quiet. People from sections away were able to hear our conversations and our cheers. Went to the "home court advantage" thing where fans got to watch the Finals games @ Staples during away games for cheap, all the real fans went and it was deafening.
