I just want to know how it's "justice" that the Yankees are in first place lol
I guess because they have spent so much money it's justice they are actually playing like they should?

I just think Theo has been a bit of an overrated GM with that "Boy Wonder" crap and all. First off, he showed Johnny Damon...who was the face of the franchise at the time...no respect & let the guy walk. Then you guys go off and bring in Brad Penny's & John Smolz's...opting to not part with Buchholz in order to acquire a giant hitter like A-Gon or a Cy Young winner in Halladay. Could you imagine what A-Gon would do with 318ft in left field of Yankee Stadium? I don't think Dice-K has been close to worth $104M the team has invested into him.

Boston has had some great spects come up the chain but lets stop giving GM's credit for taking the advice of all their team scouts.

About the only up I will give Theo right now is bringing in Beckett. I know he's done more in the past but like Yankee haters throw at us all the time: "The past doesn't mean sh.."

I think we all need to give it up to the Yankees. With all the problems they've had. Oh that payroll just wasn't high enough, and oh they had to deal with Cody Ransom, He's not a former all-star he can't be on the team. The yankees have overcome so much with everyone doubting them and all the Boston love.

oh lawd

But Yankee fans look into the past, so you can't say that.

Whether or not you think he's overrated means nothing, especially to us...he did what 86 years worth of GM's couldn't. He brought us 2 WS so he's definitely going to be overrated by other
standards.

If Damon was the face of the franchise then he wouldn't have walked for more money just like Pedro did. It's not like we didn't give him an offer..or even a BS offer. We gave him a reasonable offer and he wanted more money. How is that to blame on Theo? The EXACT same thing happened with Pedro.

I don't see how bringing in Smoltz or Penny has anything to do with Damon leaving. How can you throw stones at Theo for the Matsuzaka signing? He's shown he can pitch before..and it's not like Theo is the first to overpay for a FA that didn't work out.

Didn't you say before that Mark Shaprio should do a better job drafting for the Cleveland Indians? If Theo hasn't done anything other than listen to his scouts then Shapiro's scouts, not him, are to blame.

Regardless, for the whatever year in a row since I started liking baseball, I'm gonna have to pick a team to bandwagon for in the playoffs.

If I only felt the need to add this to your list of absolutely ridiculous posts this season.
Yeah because your homer posts aren't ridiculous at all, Boston would take them in 7, the Angels would take you too.

Jeter with a leadoff HR! We're wasting no time on trying to extend this lead and put the AL East out of reach after that big time series.

Stand up guys and rejoice, Santana won his 13th game to tie the NL lead, the Mets won a game in San Diego for the first time in over two years but most importantly the NFL Preseason has started meaning the regular season is not too far away from now!

And A-Rod always seems to disappear when it all matters... and the Yankees don't seem to play good when A-Rod isn't.

I hope you are talking about his playoff shortcomings which can and probably will come to an end and not talking about that last AB, but the tissues are in aisle 4.

Why do you think it's just all of a sudden going to come to an end?

The same reason that made you think the Jays would win 90 games and the AL East this year.
Yeah because when I saw the Jays go on the big run at the beginning of the season, I'm not going to have the highest hopes for my team, I'm a loyal fan, and that's it. Your just a homer, I can't believe you said Burnett was better than Santana...
