Perkins isn't a bum, he's just not the greatest center. He gets the job done with what Celtics need him to do, when KG is on the floor. However, he did struggle this postseason, but he's not close to the league's worst center.

I was joking about the Perkins part though. Of course we can't build around him. We'll have to wait til we get our firsts back, and then we draft players around Rondo and then on out.

Perkins is a bum, he's rotten ass. He is a cocky role player who plays good defense.. That's it. Trust me you guys should not build around him..

Then that means a rebuilding period, young talent takes a while to pan out, meaning youll be back to the Celtics of 3-4 years ago.

I am going to miss hm :/ But it seemed like the perfect time to get rid of him, his game is deteriorating and he just doesn't try hard anymore.

After the Big 3 retires (don't expect KG or Pierce to retire before the next 3 years), then I say it'll take 3-4 years to get the right pieces around Rondo, then we'll be a solid and contending for a playoff spot. Then maybe a season or two after that were all set.

While the Celtics start the rebuild again in a couple years other teams in the East will be taking over making it HARDER for you guys to stay a playoff team.

You guys still have 3-5 decent years left though.

I don't think the transition will be that tough for the Celtics. They will probably begin to rebuild while keeping the a playoff team intact.

Basically what the Pistons failed to do lol.

We are still a playoff team, and we are actually better though. I don't think it will be that easy for them though, Rondo will want a MAX contract making it hard for them to make deals.

Ray Allen is a shell of himself. He's just about done, whenever his current contract is up I think he's done.

KG and PP seem to be the type of players that could go about 5 more years and still be strong. But all those 1sts will be low picks hard to build a team with low picks.

It happens with every team (except the Spurs) every team has a period where they suck then become good. Thats how the NBA works.

Well I guess in the Pistons case it was to make an already great team into still a legit contender while re-tooling.

I agree with dez, but I think Ray will end up getting a smaller contract and just adding to the Celtics fall but resigning for 3 years.
