Why hasn't had the best rotation this season? You have to take into account that this is the first time that anyone has seen those players pitch. They've adjusted this season and it shows.

Also, you have to take into account how other teams under perform. If healthy and playing like they should, the Sox rotation is just as good if not better.

Every player from last year's rotation is injured which is sad except for Halladay. Our rotation has been just fine this season too, the young rotation is pitching better than anyone else expected.

We all knew the pitching wasn't a problem, we had the best pitching staff in the league last year, the hitting was just awful! As soon as Cito and his crew came in, the hitting was dramatically better, and we had the best second half W-L record in baseball I hear.

Gaston sucks, the Jays are just finally getting things together a bit. He's really not much better than Girardi.

Gaston sucks? Does 2 World Series rings in 2 years in a row say anything to you? Does having the best second half as soon as he was hired last season say anything to you? Does having the best record in April in the AL say anything to you? With all the injuries that have happened to the Jays, I'm quite happy with where the Jays are. Please explain your reasoning why Gaston sucks...

Gaston inherited so much talent all he had to do was fill out the line-up cards and let the team take care of everything else. It's obvious the team felt re-energized last year after Gibbons was fired. And since when does the best record in April count for anything? Especially when you guys had a horrendously weak schedule that month.

Halladay: 20-10. 2.78 ERA, 246 IP, 39 BB, 206 K
Marcum: 9-7, 3.38 ERA, 159 IP, 49 BB, 152 K
Romero: no stats for last year
Tallet: didn't even pitch in the rotation last season
Litsch: 13-9, 3.58 ERA, 176 IP, 39 BB, 99 K

Beckett: 12-10, 4.03 ERA, 174.1 IP, 34 BB, 172 K (did not pitch nearly as well as had the year before)
Lester: 16-6, 3.21 ERA, 210.1 IP, 66 BB, 156 K
Matsuzaka: 18-3, 2.90 ERA, 167.2 IP, 94 BB, 154 K
Wakefield: 10-11, 4.13 ERA, 181 IP, 60 BB, 117 K (the guy throws a knuckleball for crying out loud)
Buchholz: 2-9, 6.75 ERA, 76 IP, 41 BB, 71 K (only had 16 starts and still needed some time to develop)

that's all based on last seasons stats. You're going to tell me that they were overwhelmingly better? Now let's say everyone pitches to potential...Jays still best rotation? I don't think so.

The thing is the Red Sox rotation have experience while the Jays rotation are young and they barely have experience.

Being a manager is more than filling out a bunch of line-up cards... How do you get all these players to perform? It's difficult to get a bunch of talented players to listen to one guy. Since when did the Blue Jays have sooo much talent? How do the Jays finish with around the same record as the Yankees last year with a team considered less talented than the Yankees?
