If Denver trades Cutler, I am pretty sure they would be drafting their next starter. They are going to have a rough first season under Josh McDaniels anyway...so I don't think it really matters who their QB is.

Denver Channel - Jay Cutler, who has shown public frustration with the Broncos over reports that the team tried to trade him, has put his Denver area house on the market.

The custom-built, four-bedroom, seven-bath home reportedly went on the market Thursday and is listed for sale at $2 million.

Cutler also owns a penthouse condo in downtown Denver.

I think McDaniels has completely rubbed Cutler the wrong way & after being on the cusp of the post-season in his first couple seasons...perhaps Jay just doesn't feel like going through the rebuilding stage.
How are they re-building?

ESPN - Just a few days after quarterback Jay Cutler put his Denver house on the market, his parents have reportedly followed suit.

Cutler is upset with the Broncos and new head coach Josh McDaniels over reports that they attempted to trade him last month.
So his parents are trying to sell their house too.
Hmm, I wonder how their house shopping in Michigan is going.

Looks like Culter asked to be trade from Denver good for him and bad for him. Detroit is probably the leading team to take him.

FOXSports.com said:
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - Jay Cutler was a no-show on Monday for coach Josh McDaniels' first team meeting and the start of the Denver Broncos' offseason workouts, and if he gets his way, he'll never step foot in the team's training facility again.

"The Denver Broncos confirm that Jay Cutler has requested a trade," team spokesman Jim Saccomano told The Associated Press on Monday.

Cutler, still upset that the Broncos tried to trade him for New England quarterback Matt Cassel last month, had asked for a trade through his agent, Bus Cook, ESPN reported.

Cook, who was traveling, didn't return phone calls to The AP. The Denver Post quoted McDaniels as saying he wanted to meet again with Cutler to try to resolve their differences before considering a trade.

Cutler told ESPN he would attend every mandatory minicamp and training camp but would skip the offseason training program, which won't subject him to fines. Although it's voluntary, the coaches expect everyone to attend the team's offseason program.

According to a league source, the Detroit Lions will continue to talk to the Denver Broncos about the possibility of acquiring quarterback Jay Cutler in a trade.

Cutler's anger with Denver initially began when he learned that the Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were involved in active trade talks. An effort to mend fences reportedly has done more damage than good.

In a story that was originally reported by NFL.com, the Broncos were in trade discussions a couple of weeks ago with Detroit and Tampa Bay. The Broncos wanted those teams to acquire Matt Cassel from the Patriots and then turn around deal Cassel to them in exchange for Cutler.

The Lions have plenty of ammunition to use in a deal, they have five draft picks in the first 82 choices in the upcoming draft. But more teams are expected to enter the bidding for Cutler.
The 1st paragraph makes me confident, but the last one scares me.
I really hope Mayhew gets this done. He actually knows what he is doing.
I fact he pulled the trigger on a Pro-Bowler already this off-season adds to my confidence. The confidence I have in this front-office right now is doubled what I had for Millen. And it's only been a couple months.

If I were Cutler and I were the Jets, I would get something like this done. You had to rush one season with a great QB in Favre, here you have the foundation of your franchise for the next 8-10 years, already around a good team.

if he goes to Detroit, the Jets will get Stafford or Sanchez most likely.. kind of a win-win, either way for them

I've heard a possible Stanton/Culpepper + Pick 20 for Cutler

depends on how each team and who is willing to give up the best package. I think the Broncos would want the 1st overall pick

Cutler is good, but he isn't worth the #1 pick at all.

Unless we got their 1st in return.
