Cutler speculation won’t end soon

It isn’t possible to know how this Jay Cutler situation is going to play out — a certain octogenarian sports columnist I know said there is no way the quarterback winds up in Minnesota — but it sure looks like he might not be calling Denver home for the long term. Pro Football Talk picked up this interesting item from the CBS affiliate in Denver.
The highlights:
* Broncos owner Pat Bowlen tried to call Cutler twice last week and Cutler did not take either call.
* A face-to-face meeting that was supposed to happen between Cutler and new coach Josh McDaniels — a guy who sounded as if he really wanted to bring Matt Cassel with him from New England – instead became a less-than-pleasant conference call.
* McDaniels made it clear he would not trade Culter during the call but then reversed course and made it sound like a trade is a possibility.
I’ve got a feeling this thing is going to continue to play out until the week of the NFL draft, which falls on April 25 and 26.

I don't know if he ends up in Minnesota, but this is headed down a path that leads OUT of Denver, imo.
