financially, Detroit raped this deal. Sheed and AI wont be back next season, and DUmars could go get some nice free agents

on the court however, AI isnt gonna work. He's like the anti-piston

Mex, trust me this will work and it will be good.
We did NOT have a slasher or REAL clutch player, AI gives us that.
Watch he will beast for us.
This is the best chance at a title he ever had, he'll use that and thrive upon it.

First A.I. has to take the abuse from Sheed & Rip lol.

Detroit’s not going anywhere with AI playing the 1. Who’s gonna deliver it to Rip on those curls? No seriously, Iverson’s a small 2 and that’s that. He has the tools to play 1 (handles, court vision, leadership)but refuses to approach the game like a 1.

I agree with Mexi on that, I dont think putting Ai at the 1 is the best thing to do, but I think they'll survive.

Should they go out and try to get Tinsley?

adding a player who dominates the ball to a team that thrives on ball movement sounds sketchy to me, sorry

I mean the Pacers are just looking to unload him.

Idk what bad contracts the Pistons have, cant really think of a deal either, just throwing it out there.

I don't see how this could be a bad trade for us. If Dyess is coming back to Detroit and we unloaded a big contract with Billups who is declining and picked up a good scorer in AI, how is it bad?

Stuckey could fill the role of Billups and send Tay to the bench?

NVM then.

Just tryna think up something, I know Milwaukee has Ridnour and Sessions...

I just dont think Stuckey or AI a point would bode well for ya'll but other then that, your good. Once the chemistry gets there your probably the favorites in the East, a true PG would only help that much more

Now official;;;;;;;

The shakeup promised by Detroit Pistons president Joe Dumars after last season's Eastern Conference finals has materialized just two games into the new season.

The Pistons and the Denver Nuggets have finalized a trade that sends guard Allen Iverson to Detroit in exchange for Pistons mainstays Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess.

Young center Cheikh Samb, selected by the Los Angeles Lakers for the Pistons with the 51st overall pick in the 2006 draft, will also be going to Denver in the deal, reports ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

I love this deal. And I think anyone who doesn't think it's good, it's just the inner hate and fear of Detroit showing.

Alright so we don't have Billups anymore. And yes I agree Iverson is not a true 100% PG. But he still plays the PG spot, and is one of the best PG's in the league. One of the best scorers in the league. You can't just look pass that. And I feel Curry will do a great job keeping AI in check.

Detroit lacks that WOW player on their team, and we got it. We finally have a go to player, who we can depend on scoring for us night in and night out.

Then we have Sheed and AI expiring at the end of the year. We will get much cap relief. And possibly a legit shot at LBJ and company if we don't go out and spend the money.

Dyess will most likely get a buy-out. And I can see Joey D picking him back up with the veterns minimum.

This trade WILL work. Dumars may have done it again.
