The Pistons' coaching staff is excited about the potential of Kwame Brown heading into his first season with the team, according to Detroit News.

"I've been studying big men in this league since 1970, and I am going to tell you this, Kwame Brown, at his size, moves faster and with more control than any other guy that size that I can remember," Assistant Coach Dave Cowens said.

Detroit is hoping Brown will excel in a less-pressurized environment.

"He's been really good," Curry said. "If the kid was not the first pick in the draft, I wonder what everybody would say about him? I have a list of guys who make $6 million, $7 million a year who haven't done nearly as much as he's done in this league, and we got this kid for $4 million."
I think he'll help us more than we think too. I just hope Maxiell's time don't go down and Amir gets his time too. But Kwame will only help us.

You don't like Kwame? I always thought he was good, it's not his fault he was a number 1 pick. I mean that could make people mess up too, he'll be fine he has 0 presure now.

Never was a fan of his but he has to prove us that he can hang in Detroit.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Kwame be the starter coming into this season. It's a toss-up between Kwame, Dyess, and Amir for the PF spot.. And maybe Maxiell, but I want him off the bench.

Max will come off the bench, he'll be the 6th man along with Stuck(just depends on who they need first).
Amir could start but he'll still only get around 16mins a game. Kwawe and Dyess will fight it out imo Kwame would move Sheed to PF while Dyess would get us more boards but also make us kind of small.

Yes, let Kwame Brown start so the Cavaliers have an easy road to winning the Central this year.

have you people seen Kwame at all in the last few years?
HORRIBLE

he has ok defense sometimes, but does get winded quick and gets into foul trouble.
he misses the easiest baskets i've ever seen someone take. seriously, that gets annoying.
he has small hands which means a lot of dropped passes and like i said, easy bunnies missed.
i guarantee that by mid-season y'all Pistons fans are gonna HATE him

A team who is thinking about starting Kwame Brown will not have a better record then the Cavaliers.
Just beacuse someone starts doesn't mean they need 25+ minutes a game lol.
He can start and play 15 or only start when we play bigger teams..

oh i forgot to mention he's sensitive.
if the crowd cheers him, he gets energized and tries to play hard. if the crowd boos him( which is most likely the case), he goes into a shell and just looks out of it.

good luck Detroit...

Lol, whatever you say.
Ok, listen.
I know he was bad before and he may still be that bad.. But we don't need him to go out and try that hard.
I'm sure we told him as long as he trys and doesn't giveup he'll have a spot on our team.
He'll average 6 and 5 and that will be enough.
